KNX building supervision and visualization with Boss’nX

In Boss’nX, each building has its supervision: a dashboard with an overview, favorites, technical alarms and schemas, then a topology of zones and components whose datapoints read or control KNX, BACnet or Modbus data. The hypervision brings several supervisions together on a map, with their aggregated favorites, alarms and consumption. This page points you to the right guide for each task.

  • N/A means no usable value, not zero. A greyed-out row with no value or control can be a KNX object not yet physically installed.
  • The Technical alarms counters cover the active alarms outside standby within your scope, and the list shows at most ten of them. An acknowledged alarm can remain active.
  • Dashboard changes are saved with Finish editing. For the hypervision energy block, the window’s Save button only prepares the links.
  • Controlling a datapoint, managing components, and viewing and editing schemas require separate rights: Send commands, Manage components, View schemas and Edit schemas.
  • A component’s History panel looks for KNX entries over the last seven days, for a monitored command address.

To control and schedule, see Scenarios and commands. Depending on the datapoint source: KNX and ETS, BACnet and Modbus; for consumption, Energy and metering. Application overview: Boss’nX.
