Access Control: guest bookings and access codes

Access Control is the administration of guest access: a booking gives a guest an access code for a specific access point, for example a door or a room, during a defined period. The guest views this code from a personal link received by email. The documentation covers sign-in, booking management, sending the guest link and troubleshooting, for both the administrator and the guest. The interface is in French; labels are given in French with their English meaning.

  • Prepare the access points. Before any booking, the installer or an authorized administrator declares each access point in Link’nX, with Zenio, Blumotix BX-E-AK12 or DoorBird Cloud hardware, then saves the Administrator Email: see declare an access control device and enter the administrator.
  • Sign in. The administration does not ask for a password: enter your address in Votre adresse email (Your email address), then open the link you receive. See signing in with an email link.
  • Find your way. The navigation offers Aujourd’hui (Today), Sites, Réservations (Bookings) and Paramètres (Settings). Aujourd’hui only shows active bookings and those starting within 12 hours. Check the site name at the top of the page before acting: see view bookings.
  • Create a booking from the site page: access point, optional guest address, Du (From) and Au (To) period, time zone. The code is generated on creation; you do not choose it.
  • Find a booking in Réservations, with the Toutes (All), En cours (Current) and Terminées (Ended) filters, then show its code.
  • Edit, extend or delete a booking that is active or upcoming. The booked access point cannot be changed, and Du can only be edited before the start.
  • Send or resend the guest link from the booking row. The automatic email leaves before the access starts, according to a delay of 1 to 10080 minutes set in Paramètres for the whole account.
  • Show your access code: the guest opens their personal link, without signing in, and uses the code on site during the authorized period.
  • The Access Control troubleshooting guide covers a missing booking, a refused creation or edit, an email not received, an unavailable code and the DoorBird Cloud programming indications.
  • The frequently asked questions cover a forgotten password, choosing the code, the sending delay per site and the mobile display.
  • Only an on-site opening test, during the period, confirms that a code works. Never send a code or a personal link to support.
