Chart’nX: KNX data visualization, metering and export
Chart’nX is the Can’nX tool for KNX data visualization and analysis. Its dashboards, for energy or water, open from Emergy’nX or from Boss’nX. The guides cover viewing and exporting measurements, then configuring dashboards: KNX or Modbus meters, groups, calculations and address monitoring.
Getting started
Section titled “Getting started”- From Emergy’nX, open the Chart’nX section and choose the dashboard: View displays the charts, Configure opens its generator. New dashboard opens the generator on a new energy dashboard. See open Chart’nX from Emergy’nX.
- From Boss’nX, open Analyses, then the Chart’nX tab, with the View analytics permission. This entry presents the existing dashboards, without a creation command. See open Chart’nX from Boss’nX.
Main tasks
Section titled “Main tasks”View and export
- Set the period and precision, then read the charts in the Unified, Stacked, Curves or Per phase presentation, depending on the panel.
- Read phase measurements and set the time zone, language, units and axes.
- Export the data as an Excel report, a CSV suited to spreadsheets, or as Raw data for data processing. Several files are grouped in a ZIP archive. The export does not require switching to administration; the format guide details the content of the files.
Configure an energy dashboard
From the generator opened in Emergy’nX:
- Fill in the general information: name, contract power in kVA, single-phase or three-phase installation.
- Configure the main meters, then the submeters, their groups and the total energy calculation.
- Preview and save the dashboard.
- If addresses remain to be monitored, assign them to the monitoring gateways, with the project’s ETS file.
Monitor water
A water dashboard is configured with its general information and the total meter, then its meter groups.
Integrate Modbus meters
The Modbus catalog belongs to the project: a configuration can be used by several dashboards. Create the Modbus gateway, declare the configuration, test the reading, then import it as a submeter.
