Kloud’nX KNX-IoT router: gateway status and network health
Kloud’nX is the Can’nX KNX-IoT router: remote access, IoT integration and cloud monitoring. In the applications, it appears as the installation’s gateway: Link’nX opens on a project and a gateway, Boss’nX shows its status and its network health tests, and Chart’nX can have it save Modbus measurements. The guides do not describe an interface specific to Kloud’nX: this page gathers those in which the gateway is involved.
Getting started
Section titled “Getting started”- For the gateway’s first commissioning, replacement, update or recovery, go through support: get the manual or ETS file for a Can’nX product lists the information to provide, including the gateway’s reference and your goal.
- To configure integrations and automations, open Link’nX with the access provided for your project and your gateway, then check both names at the top of the page before making any change. The next steps are on the Link’nX page.
- For energy monitoring, see the Emergy’nX page.
Main tasks
Section titled “Main tasks”Find the gateway in the applications
- In Boss’nX, Menu → KNX gateways lists the project’s Kloud’nX gateways with their Online or Offline status, their Local IP and their Bus voltage. The details add, among others, Version, Last connection and Bus load. The page is offered to roles that have View activity logs: view the KNX gateways.
- In Chart’nX, each Modbus gateway is linked to the Can’nX gateway that saves its data, Kloud’nX or Emergy’nX: create a Modbus gateway.
Monitor the bus and the devices
The Boss’nX Network health page shows the reachability tests that Kloud’nX gateways run periodically on IP devices and KNX participants.
- Read the network health states: Online, Unstable, Unreachable, Unknown or Disabled.
- Add, edit or suspend a monitor, with a probe interval of 10 to 3600 seconds for IP and 30 to 3600 seconds for KNX.
- Scan a KNX line to add its participants in one go. The scan probes 256 addresses in about 40 seconds and generates traffic on the bus: avoid it during an ETS commissioning.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- Unknown — gateway … offline in Network health: first check the gateway’s status in KNX gateways.
- If Gateway needs an update — this version cannot scan the KNX bus yet. appears, ask support for the suitable update.
- If Change my password is disabled in Boss’nX with Managed from your Can-nX Kloud account., make the change from that Kloud account: see change your own password.
For any other question about the gateway, write to support@can-nx.com with its reference, the application concerned, the message displayed and the attempts made.
