Emergy’nX KNX HEMS: energy management and EV chargers
Emergy’nX is the Can’nX KNX HEMS: intelligent energy management, to optimize energy production, consumption and storage. The guides cover reading energy flows day to day, configuring the building and the equipment with their KNX links, then energy control: load shedding, solar surplus, tariff periods and EV chargers (IRVE).
Getting started
Section titled “Getting started”- Find the menus: Dashboard, Equipment, Building Config, Energy Control, IRVE and Chart’nX. Check the project name in the top bar: demo mode offers only Dashboard and IRVE, with simulated data.
- Install access on your device with Install app or, on iPhone and iPad, with Share then Add to Home Screen.
Main tasks
Section titled “Main tasks”Monitor and control day to day
- Read flows and consumption: Solar, Battery, Grid and Building cards in instantaneous power (W or kW), Conso breakdown and Equip. cards.
- Choose Auto, OFF or ON for a piece of equipment: Auto hands control back to automation, OFF and ON request a forced stop or forced operation. For a setpoint, send a custom value.
- Monitor EV chargers in IRVE.
- For history and measurement export, open Chart’nX.
Configure the building
- Power network and tariffs: Basic, Off-Peak or Tempo plan, then grid meter measurements over KNX or Modbus, with 1 signed reading or 2 readings (one per direction).
- Solar production and battery: Bus (KNX / Modbus) or Huawei source, the inverter then being read over Modbus TCP.
- General meter, weather location and Presence/Absence and Summer/Winter feedback.
Configure equipment
- Create equipment, then fill in its characteristics by type: domestic hot water, pool, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, lighting, production or charger.
- Map its KNX measurements and commands, with the group addresses and DPTs validated for the installation.
- Configure an EV charger and its optimization options: EVlink Pro AC, Terra AC, LEKTRI.CO, or Other with KNX links.
Control energy
- Load shedding and solar surplus: threshold levels in watts and commands sent to each piece of equipment.
- Off-peak, peak and red peak hours: equipment concerned, order and, during off-peak hours, switch-on delays.
- Summer/winter and presence/absence variants of these settings.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Common questions and troubleshooting answers frequent cases: menus hidden by TV mode, sections limited to the demo, Conso or Equip. missing, ON with no effect. To find or delete a configuration, see the equipment list.
