Emergy’nX dashboard: read solar, battery and grid energy flows

Emergy’nX: Dashboard, Flow, Conso and Equip. views, on computer or phone
The Emergy’nX Dashboard shows the instantaneous power of solar, battery, grid and building, the breakdown of consumption by equipment and the optimizer’s current strategy. Use it to follow self-consumption, grid import and export without changing the configuration.
Intended for everyday users who have access to the project. To control equipment from its card, follow the Auto, OFF and ON guide.
Open the Flow view
Section titled “Open the Flow view”- Check the project in the top bar, then choose Dashboard in the left menu. On a phone, first open the three lines Toggle navigation.
- In the bar at the bottom of the dashboard, choose Flow if another panel is open. You can also close the panel with its cross at the top right, or with Escape on a computer.
Read the power values and indicators
Section titled “Read the power values and indicators”Read the Solar, Battery, Grid and Building cards together. Numbers in W or kW are power values at the moment of display, not cumulative consumption in kWh.
| Indicator | What to read |
|---|---|
| Solar | Displayed production power. Expected: … kWh today, when present, is a forecast separate from this power. |
| Building | Consumption power of the building. |
| Grid — Import | Energy drawn from the grid; read the displayed power with this direction of flow. |
| Grid — Export | Energy sent to the grid. Look at the label, because the number alone does not tell export from import. |
| Battery — Charging / Discharging | Displayed operating direction. Charge, as a percentage, represents the state of charge. |
| Self-cons. | Share of solar production used on site, by the building and the battery, instead of being exported to the grid. |
| Self-sufficiency | Share of consumption covered locally, without drawing from the grid. |
On a phone, tap a card in the diagram to open its details in the bottom panel, then close them with the cross at the top right of the panel. The available indicators depend on the data received and on the space on screen.
View the breakdown and find equipment
Section titled “View the breakdown and find equipment”- At the bottom of the dashboard, click Conso, with the pie chart icon. The panel shows a breakdown in rectangles, with the available names and power values.
- Find the equipment by its name. Rest, when it appears, represents the share of consumption that is not allocated to the equipment shown in this breakdown: it is not a device to delete.
- Click Equip., with the four-squares icon, to see the equipment cards and their power. Scroll the panel if necessary.
- Go back to Flow or close the panel to return to the overview.
On a small screen, the text of these three buttons may be hidden: use the pulse line for Flow, the pie chart for Conso and the four squares for Equip.
Conso appears only if data allows a breakdown to be displayed; Equip. requires available equipment. If only the Flow view is available, the bar may be absent. In TV mode, exit this mode to get the navigation controls back.
Understand the Optimizer badge
Section titled “Understand the Optimizer badge”The Optimizer: badge shows the current control strategy, among others Normal, Load Shedding, Optimization, Off-Peak Hour, Peak Hour or Red Peak Hour. A level, shown as Lv followed by its number, may accompany the mode. These strategies are configured in Energy Control: see load shedding and solar surplus and the tariff rules.
The badge describes the strategy, not the execution of a command. If a device’s behavior puzzles you, examine its card in Equip. and the device itself.
View history or export data
Section titled “View history or export data”Past periods and exports are available in the Chart’nX dashboards, then with the export guide. The Conso breakdown is instantaneous: it does not replace the Chart’nX period selector.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”If a value is missing or seems inconsistent:
- Check the project, the connection indicator and that you are not in the demo.
- Wait for updates, then compare the same quantity in the same unit.
- A zero, a missing button or an unchanged value is not enough to conclude that a device is stopped or that a meter is faulty: check the device itself.
- Do not change addresses or thresholds only to correct how a value looks.
For other situations, see common issues. If the problem persists, contact support@can-nx.com with the project, the equipment, the displayed values and units, the time of the observation and what you tried.
