Pool’nX: KNX gateway for Klereo and PoolCop pools
Pool’nX is the Can’nX KNX gateway for pools. It reads a Klereo controller, through Klereo Connect, or a PoolCop, through PoolCop Cloud, sends its measurements and states on the KNX bus and passes on to the pool the commands received from the bus: filtration, lighting, pump, valve, auxiliaries, setpoints. You configure it in Can’nX Cloud, from the gateway page.
Getting started
Section titled “Getting started”- Open the Pool’nX window from the gateway page in Can’nX Cloud and find its settings.
- Connect the pool controller: Klereo with the Klereo Connect credentials or PoolCop with a PoolCop Cloud API key.
Main tasks
Section titled “Main tasks”Connect the pool to the KNX bus
- Send statuses on the KNX bus: water temperature, pH, ORP, pump, auxiliaries, alerts, each on a group address with its DPT.
- Control the pool from KNX: each telegram received on a command address is passed on to the controller.
- Values and DPTs specific to each controller: Klereo table and PoolCop table.
- Export the addresses to ETS as a CSV file.
Automate and supervise
- Control the water temperature by hysteresis, with a KNX sensor and actuator.
- Set the options: status sending period, resend on request via KNX and a watchdog sent every minute.
- Connect a non-KNX supervisor over TCP, port 50000.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- The type of pool determines the whole configuration: changing it erases the credentials, addresses, options and temperature control.
- A command runs as soon as its row has an address, even if its Active box is unticked: clear the address of a command you want to disable.
- With an active filter in a table, only the displayed rows are saved.
- With PoolCop Cloud, a command can take up to about two minutes to appear in the statuses.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Pool’nX questions and troubleshooting answers frequent cases: greyed-out button, empty pool list, PoolCop key rejected, status missing from the bus, command with no effect, ETS export blocked. For the hardware connection of the gateway, request the product manual.
