Set the period and precision of a Chart’nX dashboard

Chart’nXUserAdministratorInstaller

Chart’nX: saved dashboard in view mode, date bar and Precision, computer and mobile

In a saved Chart’nX dashboard, the date bar sets the displayed period and Precision the time grouping of the data, from one minute to one month. Users, administrators and installers use them to view history, examine a detail or compare periods.

To open the dashboard, see From Emergy’nX or From Boss’nX.

  1. Check the project and the dashboard in the header.
  2. Click in the period field, between the two chevrons of the top bar. On mobile, tap the calendar icon there.
  3. Choose the start and end dates in the calendar, or a predefined period.
  4. The selection applies automatically. Review the displayed period before comparing values.
  5. The left and right chevrons move to the previous or next period; check the new dates displayed.

The shortcuts have English names, including in the French interface:

YesterdayYesterday
Last 7 DaysThe last 7 days, today included
Last 30 DaysThe last 30 days, today included
This MonthThe current calendar month
Last MonthThe previous calendar month
Last 12 MonthsThe last 12 calendar months, up to the start of the current month
Last YearThe previous calendar year

In Precision, choose an available value: 1m (minute), 15m, 1h, 24h (day) or 1mo (month). The charts are recalculated for the selected period and precision.

The precision describes the time grouping of the displayed data; it does not set the measurement frequency of the equipment. Some values are grayed out depending on the length of the period:

PrecisionSelectable
1mPeriod of 7 days or less
15mPeriod of 90 days or less
24hPeriod of more than one day
1moPeriod of more than 185 days

To examine more detail, reduce the range; for a long period, choose a wider step.

Changing the period can also adjust the precision automatically and display a notification such as Precision set at 24 hours or Precision set at 1 hour. This adjustment does not make any measurement disappear.

Use the same dates, the same precision and the same time zone.

The viewing calendar is not the one in the CSV export window: that window has its own period and time step. The generator’s Preview tab uses a predefined verification period, the current local day with a one-hour precision; see Preview and saving.

After each change of dates, review the displayed period and the Precision value. An old or wide range only shows the historical data actually recorded for your installation.

If data is still missing after checking the dashboard and a period in which measurements are expected, contact support@can-nx.com with the dashboard name, the dates, the precision and the symptom. If these attempts have already failed, send these details directly.

French labels: Précision, Précision fixée à 24 heures and Précision fixée à 1 heure. The step abbreviations and the shortcut names stay the same.
