Boss’nX, Schemas page of a supervision: list, layers, zoom, duplication and deletion
Schemas page missing, empty list, loading error, schema not found, plan cut off, unexpected copy or deletion: here are the answers to common problems on the Schemas page of a Boss’nX supervision. For the schema block of the Dashboard, see its specific questions; for a required name, a partial save or leaving with changes in the editor, see save troubleshooting.
Why can’t I find the Schemas page?
Section titled “Why can’t I find the Schemas page?”Access to the page depends on the context, the display and the account’s rights. Check in this order:
- You are in the supervision of the building concerned: the consolidated hypervision view does not include the same menus.
- Look for Schemas in the header bar, then in the Menu, Building family; the Menu search also finds a schema by its name. On a tablet or phone, Menu is at the bottom of the screen, to the right of your bar’s pages. Display variants are described in the navigation landmarks.
- Have your account’s View schemas right checked. Edit schemas is a separate right, reserved for management.
If these points are checked and the page is still missing, give support the context and the missing page.
Why is the list empty or showing No results?
Section titled “Why is the list empty or showing No results?”No results concerns the search: clear the text in Search schemas…. The search does not close the drawing already open, and the counter at the bottom still shows the total number of schemas.
No schemas available. or No schemas, with no search in progress: check the building and the context that are open. An authorized person may see Create schema, but you do not need to create a drawing to find an expected schema. If an expected schema is missing from the list, give support its name and the context.
What should I do about a loading error in the list or under a schema?
Section titled “What should I do about a loading error in the list or under a schema?”Wait for any Loading… to finish, then click Retry next to the error. In the general list, this action reloads the page; under a schema, it restarts the loading of its layers.
If the layers load, click the one you want to read. No layers means that no layer is offered in this list. If the error persists after Retry, do not keep reloading: give support the schema name, the context, the message and the attempt already made.
Does the Schema not found message mean that the schema was deleted?
Section titled “Does the Schema not found message mean that the schema was deleted?”Not necessarily. Schema not found, together with The requested schema does not exist or has been deleted., does not specify the actual state of the schema: note this message.
- Click Back to list.
- Check the context and clear any search.
- Search for the schema name. If it appears, open it again.
If it remains absent or inaccessible, give support the expected name, the message and the attempts made. Do not recreate the schema based on this observation alone.
Why does the page show another drawing or another layer?
Section titled “Why does the page show another drawing or another layer?”The page reopens the last schema viewed in the browser when it is still available. After a deletion, it can also select a remaining schema. A link placed in a drawing can also change the view.
Click the name you want in the list on the left to choose your drawing explicitly, then its layer. If the result is still different after this choice, tell support the drawing, the chosen layer and what is displayed.
Why doesn’t Recenter bring the whole plan back on screen?
Section titled “Why doesn’t Recenter bring the whole plan back on screen?”Recenter canvas changes the position without changing the zoom. The clickable percentage Reset zoom to 100% changes the zoom without recentering. To recalculate both, use Fit to screen, the four-corner icon just after the zoom-in magnifier.
On this page, the zoom is limited to between 25% and 200%. A large drawing can still overflow at 25%: move the framing or use a wider screen. Zooming and moving are for viewing and do not save the drawing. The gestures and controls are detailed in viewing schemas.
How do I read a schema on a phone when the controls are cramped or the plan is cut off?
Section titled “How do I read a schema on a phone when the controls are cramped or the plan is cut off?”Collapse the list with Collapse sidebar to gain space. Swipe one finger on an empty area of the drawing to move the framing. If Fit to screen is accessible, use it; if the bottom bar is hard to reach, continue on a wider screen.
The pinch shown in Navigation Controls concerns the trackpad: no two-finger touch zoom is described for this page. If the display remains unusable on a wider screen, tell support the schema, the screen size and the controls tried.
Why doesn’t Expand all cards show what I expected?
Section titled “Why doesn’t Expand all cards show what I expected?”This command only expands compact cards that offer additional datapoints. It does not reveal datapoints hidden by the configuration or by your rights, and it does not open every type of element in the drawing. A layer may also contain no compact card.
Check the schema, the layer, then the type of element you are looking for. Do not change a setpoint to test the display: if expected data is still missing, give support the component name and your observation.
Why do I still see the original after duplicating?
Section titled “Why do I still see the original after duplicating?”This is the intended behavior: the copy is added to the list without replacing the displayed drawing. Clear any search, then click the name bearing (copy), or (copie) in the French interface. The procedure is described in schema management. If you still cannot find the copy, report it to support rather than creating more duplicates.
Can I undo the deletion of a schema?
Section titled “Can I undo the deletion of a schema?”Only before confirming it: canceling is offered in the confirmation that precedes the deletion. Once the deletion is confirmed, the list offers no restoration. Contact support with the schema name and the steps taken; no recovery and no timeframe can be announced based on this observation alone.
Contact support
Section titled “Contact support”If the problem persists after these checks, write to support@can-nx.com stating: Boss’nX, the building or context, the schema and layer names, the exact message and the checks already made. If useful, add a screenshot without sensitive data. No password or secret is needed.
