Set up the Boss’nX hypervision energy widget with Chart’nX

Boss’nXAdministratorInstaller

Boss’nX: hypervision dashboard in edit mode, Link ChartnX dashboards window

The Energy consumption block of the Boss’nX hypervision compares the consumption of the supervisions linked to a Chart’nX dashboard. This procedure links each supervision to the Chart’nX dashboard of its project, then saves the hypervision dashboard.

Intended for the administrator or installer authorized to edit the hypervision dashboard.

  • Each supervision to include is linked to the expected project.
  • A suitable Chart’nX dashboard is available for this project.
  • A wide screen makes this configuration easier.
  1. Open the relevant hypervision, then Hypervision dashboard, as described in the navigation guide.
  2. In the header, click Edit layout. On a narrow screen, the button may show only the pencil; its accessibility label remains Edit layout.
  3. Scroll the dashboard down to Energy consumption and click Configure. If the block shows Set up the energy widget, you can also use Configure now.
  4. In Link ChartnX dashboards, wait for the dashboards to finish loading.
  1. Find the supervision name and the project shown in its row. Check that they match the building you want.
  2. Open this supervision’s list and select its Chart’nX dashboard.
  3. Repeat for the other supervisions to include.
  4. Check that the choices are consistent: the combined consumption figures and units must allow the comparison you want.

As long as the window has not been confirmed, Cancel or Close discards the changes in progress there.

  1. Click Save at the bottom of the window. The window closes and prepares the associations in the dashboard being edited.
  2. Scroll back up to the header and click Finish editing: this is the step that saves the dashboard.
  3. Wait for the save to finish.

To correct a choice after Save, reopen Configure, change it, then perform both confirmations again. Saving the dashboard is detailed in the widget layout guide.

  1. Open Edit layout → Configure.
  2. In the list for the relevant supervision, choose — No dashboard selected —.
  3. Click Save, then Finish editing, and check the result.

Only the association used in the hypervision is removed: the Chart’nX dashboard itself is kept.

  1. Check the supervisions shown in the chart.
  2. To review the associations, go back to Edit layout → Configure and check each choice.
  3. Close the window, then finish editing.

To use the charts afterwards, follow reading consumption.
