Boss’nX, zone page: component cards, Displayed values and action buttons
Components not visible, datapoints missing from a card, a value missing from the choice of the three positions, a cut-off label, a change not kept or a missing button: here are the checks to run on a Boss’nX zone page, for users, administrators and installers of a supervision. The normal behavior of this page is described in the zone viewing guide.
Why can I no longer see the zone’s components?
Section titled “Why can I no longer see the zone’s components?”Check the page filters first: closing the Filtrer (filter) panel keeps its criteria.
- Check the zone name and the open supervision.
- Click Filtrer, then Reset in its panel.
- If the cards come back, search again with a component name or a single type.
- If they are still missing, have the attachment and your access scope checked.
Run these checks before concluding that anything was deleted. To look for the zone itself, use the topology filters.
Why are datapoints missing from a card?
Section titled “Why are datapoints missing from a card?”The card is collapsed or has reached its limit: the zone page shows at most fifteen datapoints per component. Choose Expand on this card, then View more or View details to open the component detail.
The Déplier tout (expand all) button acts on the cards retained by the filters: for a card that has just reappeared, check its own button. Your account’s visibility restrictions still apply in the detail.
If the expected datapoint still cannot be found, check the component and your scope with your administrator.
Why is a datapoint not offered in Displayed values?
Section titled “Why is a datapoint not offered in Displayed values?”The Displayed values list only offers the datapoints configured for reading on the components of the open zone. Check that you are in the right zone, then look for the component in the list’s groups. Removing the viewing filters does not change this selection.
If the expected datapoint is not there, have its configuration and attachment checked.
Why is a label cut off or a row empty on the zone card?
Section titled “Why is a label cut off or a row empty on the zone card?”| Observation | Cause | Check |
|---|---|---|
| Label followed by an ellipsis | The card shortens labels longer than sixteen characters. | Reopen Displayed values and choose a shorter label if necessary. |
| Gap before or between two values | A previous position was left empty, or its datapoint is hidden for your profile. | Fill it, or move your choices by selecting the datapoints in the positions you want. For a hidden datapoint, have your permissions checked. |
| Two positions change label together | They refer to the same datapoint of the same component; the custom label is shared by this datapoint. | Check the chosen datapoints in Displayed values. |
| Dash instead of the value | No usable value is available; the dash does not represent a zero measurement. | View the datapoint in its component. |
Why does my displayed values change not appear?
Section titled “Why does my displayed values change not appear?”The save is confirmed when the window closes on its own after Saving…. Reopen Displayed values in the same zone and check the saved positions.
If the window stayed open, if it was closed while sending or if the old choices come back, the result is not confirmed. The button may appear without the permission to save: have your administrator check this permission.
Why is the History button or another action missing?
Section titled “Why is the History button or another action missing?”History depends on log viewing permissions; Create QR access depends on topology management. Ask your administrator to check your profile.
On a narrow screen, part of the action row may be out of view. Try a wider screen before concluding that a permission is missing.
For an empty history or a filter that gives no result, follow the zone and floor history guide.
