Control Airzone air conditioning from a Link’nX scenario

Link’nX web: Airzone scenario actions, for declared Airzone devices
An Airzone action in Link’nX sends a command to one or more Airzone air-conditioning zones when a scenario runs it: on or off, mode, timer, fan speed, air ionization, slat swing and position, temperature setpoints.
Intended for installers and administrators. For a KNX object to control a zone directly, without a scenario, use the Airzone KNX gateway table instead.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- The devices are declared in Link’nX with their system and zone identifiers.
- The functions to control are available on each equipment concerned. Have the installer confirm them: the command list is the same for all devices and does not reflect the air conditioner’s capabilities.
Create the action
Section titled “Create the action”- Open Actions, click Add, then choose Airzone in Select an action type.
- Fill in Name, required and limited to 64 characters.
- In Airzone device, check the devices to control. Select all checks all the devices offered. The field then shows the first name followed by (+N others): reopen the list to check the hidden names.
- In Airzone command, choose the command, then fill in its parameter using the table below. After each change of command, choose the desired parameter again or re-enter its value.
- For a temperature setpoint or an ionization threshold, follow the Airzone values guide and enter the desired value, even if a value is already displayed.
- Reread the name, the devices, the command and the parameter, then click the floppy disk at the bottom right. Wait for Success! and find the action in the list.
Choose the command and its parameter
Section titled “Choose the command and its parameter”| Command | Parameter to choose |
|---|---|
| ON or OFF | No additional parameter |
| Mode selection | In Mode: Auto, Cooling, Heating, Fan, Dry, Stop or Auxiliary heat, depending on the system’s capabilities |
| Timer | In Time: OFF to deactivate an existing timer, or Sleep in 30 minutes, Sleep in 60 minutes, Sleep in 90 minutes |
| Fan speed | In Speed: Auto or Speed 1 to Speed 7, depending on the equipment; speeds 4 to 7 concern compatible individual zone modules |
| Air ionization mode | In Mode: OFF, ON or Auto, on compatible equipment |
| Vertical swing or Horizontal swing | In Mode: Disable swing (OFF) or Activate swing (ON) |
| Vertical blade position or Horizontal blade position | In Position: Position 0, Position 1, Position 2 or Position 3, depending on the desired position and the equipment’s capabilities |
Temperature setpoints and ionization thresholds expect a numeric value, described in the Airzone values guide.
Add the action to a scenario
Section titled “Add the action to a scenario”Add this action to the scenario, check its order and delay, then save the scenario. A created action is not automatically added to existing scenarios.
In a scenario’s details, Airzone device shows the associated devices for viewing only: choosing a name in this list does not change the saved target. Open the action to change its recipients.
Edit an existing action
Section titled “Edit an existing action”Open the action by its name or its pencil, correct the parameters and follow the action change validation. If the affected scenarios are presented, check them before SAVE; CANCEL takes you back to the form. Wait for Updated!.
Check the result
Section titled “Check the result”Success! confirms that the command is saved, not that the air conditioning executed it. Before a run, check the targeted zones and the planned changes in operation. Then run the scenario and watch each zone: power, mode, setpoint, fan or slats.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”If the action has no effect, if a mode does not suit the equipment or if a parameter remains uncertain, follow the Airzone troubleshooting. If these checks do not resolve it, contact support@can-nx.com.
