Boss’nX supervision: Guest access (QR) page, Manage topology right
The Boss’nX Guest access (QR) page lists the active guest access QR codes of a supervision, with the state of their assignment, their issue date and their location or session duration restrictions. It also lets you rename a code without changing its permissions.
Intended for administrators and installers with the Manage topology right.
Open the QR list
Section titled “Open the QR list”In the relevant supervision, open Menu → Guest access, in the Administration family. The Guest access (QR) page shows the available active codes; deleted codes are in QR code archive.
If Guest access is missing from the Menu, check the open supervision, then the right with your administrator, following the Boss navigation. QR accesses are managed in the supervision: a consolidated hypervision view does not replace it.
Read a code’s state and restrictions
Section titled “Read a code’s state and restrictions”Locate the Label, State, Issued at, Restrictions and Actions columns. On a narrow screen, scroll the table horizontally if the actions are out of view.
| Indication | Meaning and next step |
|---|---|
| Active | The code has an assignment; check the associated zones and components. The badge describes the assignment, not the result of a physical command. |
| Unassigned | The code is not linked to any component. Use Configure to assign it. |
| Target not found and Was: | The previous target is no longer available. Check the context, then choose a valid assignment; generating a new QR drawing does not restore the components. |
| A count such as 2/3 components | Only some of the expected components are found. Check which ones remain assigned. |
| Details ▾ | Expands the different zones and their number of components; Details ▴ collapses them. |
| Geofence · On | A location restriction is saved. |
| Session · followed by a duration | Guest session duration, to be distinguished from the Issued at date. |
| No restrictions | Neither of these two restrictions is enabled; the code keeps its scope and its other access conditions. |
A clickable zone name opens its page. A name shown as plain text may correspond to an old zone; Independent components do not open a zone.
Rename a code without changing its scope
Section titled “Rename a code without changing its scope”- Hover over the row if necessary and click the Edit label pencil next to the name. On a touch screen, the pencil remains accessible without hovering.
- Enter a label other than spaces. An empty field shows Code label is required..
- Click the Save check mark or press Enter.
- Wait for the displayed name to return and check the new label in the list.
To abandon before saving, click the Cancel cross, press Escape or leave the input group. Clicking elsewhere does not save the name.
The label is only used to identify the code. To change its permissions or restrictions, use Configure. To display the image, download it or prepare a sheet, see QR codes to share and print. To remove a code, follow archiving and restoring.
