Create an Evlink Pro AC, Lektri.co or Terra AC charger action in Link’nX
Link’nXAdministratorInstaller
Link’nX web: Actions in the AUTOMATION section, Evlink Pro AC, Lektri.co and Terra AC types
A Link’nX charger action sends a command to an Evlink Pro AC, Lektri.co or Terra AC EV charger: start, stop or suspend charging, limit the current in amperes or lock the socket, depending on the model. Once saved, it can be added to a scenario. To control the charger directly from the bus, use its KNX commands instead.
Intended for authorized administrators and installers.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- The charger is declared in the right gateway.
- The current limits authorized for the installation are known.
- For a scenario to run an Evlink Pro AC or Lektri.co action in your installation, first have the path confirmed by support, before relying on the automation. For Terra AC, follow how to compose a scenario.
Create and save the action
Section titled “Create and save the action”- In the AUTOMATION section of the sidebar, open Actions and click Add.
- In Select an action type, choose Evlink Pro AC, Lektri.co or Terra AC.
- Fill in the required Name: at most 64 characters, including at least one character other than a space. Fictitious example: “North charger limit”.
- Select the charger in Evlink Pro AC device, Lektri.co to control or Terra AC to control. Start with a single identified charger. For a Lektri.co command targeting several chargers, have the path confirmed by support before relying on a collective result.
- Choose the command in Evlink Pro AC command, Lektri.co command or Terra AC command, using the tables below.
- When Value appears, explicitly enter the appropriate value. Do not keep the initial value without checking its meaning and the installation’s limits.
- Click the floppy-disk icon at the bottom right and wait for Success!.
Choose an Evlink Pro AC command
Section titled “Choose an Evlink Pro AC command”| Displayed command | Use |
|---|---|
| Modify the maximum charging power | A current limit in amperes: an integer from 6 to 32 A, within the limits authorized for the installation. For example, 16 means 16 A, not 16 kW |
| Stop Charge | Stop the ongoing session |
| Suspend Charge | Suspend the ongoing session |
| Restart Charge | Resume a suspended session; it is not used to start a new session |
| Reboot the station | Request a restart of the station |
| Set to “Available” | Request the available status |
| Set to “Unavailable” | Request the unavailable status; according to the help, a charge in progress finishes before this change |
Only the first command asks for a Value; the others ask for no number. To stop charging, choose Stop Charge: a limit of 0, a negative value or a value below 6 does not replace it.
Choose a Lektri.co or Terra AC command
Section titled “Choose a Lektri.co or Terra AC command”| Command | Lektri.co | Terra AC |
|---|---|---|
| Start charge | Present | Present |
| Stop charge | Present | Present |
| Set max current | Value in amperes: a positive integer confirmed for the installation | Value in amperes, suited to the installation’s limits |
| Lock / Unlock | Not in this list | Act on the locking of the cable socket |
For Terra AC, make sure no charging session is in progress before requesting unlocking. Do not confuse cable locking with starting or stopping a charge.
With Set max current, the form refuses 0 and displays Issue with value field. You need to enter a value. To stop charging, choose Stop charge. For a specific need for a zero setpoint, have the method confirmed by support: the action and the KNX association are not interchangeable.
The Lektri.co functions Pause charging, Resume charging, Reset device and Override charging schedule are in the KNX gateway table, not in this list of commands. Changing the interface language does not make them appear.
Check the result
Section titled “Check the result”- Find the action in the list and open Edit. Review the name, the charger, the command and any value.
- Success! confirms that the action is saved, not that a command was transmitted or that the vehicle reacted. Distinguish saving, execution of the automation and the observed result.
- For a Terra AC action, add it to a scenario by following how to compose a scenario. After an authorized test, check the result on the charger and in the charger feedback.
Edit an action
Section titled “Edit an action”Open Edit on the action. Its type cannot be changed in this mode. After the floppy disk, if a window lists the affected scenarios, review them, then choose SAVE to confirm or CANCEL to not apply the change. Duplication and the common confirmations are described in the action editing guide.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- Type missing from Select an action type: check the context and the option for the family concerned. A charger present in another gateway is not enough.
- Charger missing from the selection list: check its declaration in the same gateway and the action’s family. A Lektri.co charger cannot be selected in a Terra AC action.
- Value refused by the form, or an Evlink limit needed outside the 6 to 32 A range: contact support.
- Save succeeds with no effect on the vehicle: reopen the action and check the fields above. For Evlink Pro AC or Lektri.co, have the scenario path confirmed by support. To diagnose statuses and limits, see the charger feedback.
Contact support
Section titled “Contact support”If these checks have already been done, write to support@can-nx.com, summarizing the product, the action, the charger, the value, the expected result and the tests carried out.
