Evlink Pro AC, Lektri.co or Terra AC charger and KNX: map the commands

Link’nXAdministratorInstaller

Link’nX web: KNX gateway table of a declared EV charger, Actions tab

The Link’nX gateway table maps the group addresses of your KNX project to the commands of an Evlink Pro AC, Lektri.co or Terra AC EV charger: start, stop, pause, current limit in amperes or socket locking, depending on the model. A KNX device can then control charging directly, without going through a scenario.

Intended for installers and administrators who have the KNX project and the charger’s parameters. To program a command in a scenario, follow the charger actions guide instead.

  • The charger is declared in Link’nX.
  • The group addresses and their DPTs are planned in the KNX project, with a distinct address for each command.
  • The installation’s current limits are known.
  1. Check the project and the gateway, then open Devices → Climate & Energy → Evlink Pro, Lektri.co or Terra AC.
  2. On the charger’s row, click the two opposing arrows, whose tooltip is Gateway mode configuration.

The table applies to this charger only. The Actions tab contains the commands; the second tab, marked with a message bubble, contains the status feedback. Filters, the exact address format, mobile use and the tab-change confirmation are described in the gateway table guide.

  1. In the Actions tab, find the function and its DPT in the tables below.
  2. Fill in the Address with the KNX group address assigned to this function, for example 1/2/10 (fictitious example), then tick Active.
  3. Click the floppy-disk icon at the bottom right and wait for Succès (Success) with Données sauvegardées avec succès ! (Data saved successfully!). Save each tab before leaving it.

The row name determines the command sent. Stop charging, Start charging, Suspend charging and Lock socket are distinct commands: a write of 0 does not cancel the named command. For a button that sends 1 then 0, have its association and behavior confirmed by support before use.

Displayed functionDPTParameter or effect
Set charge current limit14.019Current limit in A, from 6 to 32 A, according to the installation’s limits; this is not a setpoint in kW
Stop charging1.001Stop the session
Suspend charging1.001Suspend the session
Restart charging1.001Resume a suspended session
Restart station1.001Request a restart of the station
Set available1.001Request the available status
Set unavailable1.001According to the help, the station switches to the unavailable status at the end of the ongoing session

To stop charging, use Stop charging: a setpoint below 6 A does not replace it, and the row’s help states that a lower value is rejected by the station. Restart charging resumes a suspended session; it does not start a first session.

Displayed functionDPTUse
Set dynamic current14.019Current in A; use an integer confirmed for the installation, because a fraction may not be kept
Start charging1.001Request the start
Stop charging1.001Request the stop
Pause charging1.001Request a pause
Resume charging1.001Resume after the pause command
Reset device1.001According to the help, if a charge is active, the device waits for the end of the session
Override charging schedule1.001Ignore the schedule for the current session and request the start; according to the help, the schedule is reactivated when the vehicle is unplugged

The four functions for pause, resume, reset and schedule override exist only in this table: they are not offered in the Lektri.co action form.

A KNX current setpoint can carry the value 0, but its effect on your model is not documented and it does not replace Stop charging. For a zero setpoint need or an unknown limit, have the method confirmed by support. Do not change the installation’s limits to work around a lower charge than expected.

Displayed functionDPTUse
Set charging current limit14.019Value in A, suited to the installation’s limits
Start charging1.001Request the start
Stop charging1.001Request the stop
Lock socket1.001Lock the cable; according to the help, it stays locked until unlocking or until the device restarts
Unlock socket1.001Unlock the cable; first check that no charging session is in progress

To know the cable status, map the Socket lock state feedback, which is distinct from the Charging state feedback.

  1. Go back to the list, reopen the gateway and check the saved addresses and Active boxes.
  2. Données sauvegardées avec succès ! confirms that the associations are saved, not an exchange on the bus or an actual charge. Then send each command from the bus, for example with the ETS group monitor, and watch the charger and its status feedback.
  • Row not found: check the charger family, the tab, the Type to filter… filter and Show only active. The catalogs of the three families differ, as does that of the scenario actions. The charger lists do not offer the ETS Export button in this path; it is not needed to fill in the table.
  • Address entered but nothing happens: check the save, the Active box, the DPT expected by the KNX device, the targeted function and the charger’s declaration. Use a command address, not that of a status feedback.
  • Erreur lors de la sauvegarde des données. (Error while saving data.): consider that the changes are not saved and check them by reopening the table.

If the problem persists, contact support@can-nx.com with the gateway, the charger, the function, the address and the DPT, the symptom and the tests already carried out.

French labels: the tooltip is Configuration de la partie passerelle. The current limit rows are Limiter la puissance de charge (Evlink), Définir le courant dynamique (Lektri.co) and Définir la limite de courant de charge (Terra AC). Lektri.co also offers Mettre la charge en pause, Reprendre la charge, Réinitialiser l’appareil and Ignorer la planification de charge; Terra AC offers Verrouiller la prise and Déverrouiller la prise.
