Boss’nX, supervision dashboard: Energy breakdown widget linked to Chart’nX
The Energy breakdown widget on the Dashboard of a Boss’nX supervision shows, as a ring chart, how the consumption of a Chart’nX dashboard is split over the chosen period. It also lets you open the consumption analysis in Chart’nX.
Intended for users of a supervision, opened directly or from a hypervision. The widget must be offered to your account and linked to a Chart’nX dashboard as described in the energy widget configuration. For consumption in the hypervision’s aggregated dashboard, use the hypervision energy guide.
Find the right widget
Section titled “Find the right widget”- Open the supervision of the relevant building, then Dashboard, as described in the navigation guide.
- Scroll down to Energy breakdown. The title may have been customized, and several energy widgets may be present: identify the one that matches the dashboard to view.
- Wait for Loading energy data… to finish.
If the block is missing, have its presence in the dashboard and the widget types allowed for the account’s role checked. If the block shows No Chart’nX dashboard configured. Enable edit mode to select one., ask a person authorized to edit the dashboard to configure it.
Choose the period
Section titled “Choose the period”Click the period you want above the chart and wait for the result.
| Button | Period viewed |
|---|---|
| Today | From the start of the day up to the time of loading. |
| Yesterday | The previous day. |
| Last 7 Days | Today and the previous six days, up to the time of loading. |
| Last 30 Days | Today and the previous twenty-nine days, up to the time of loading. |
Days follow the browser’s local time. The values shown correspond to the time of loading: they are not a real-time measurement.
Read the ring and the legend
Section titled “Read the ring and the legend”- Read the value and the unit in the center of the ring.
- In the legend on the right, match each color with its label, its value and its percentage. Scroll this list if not all rows are visible.
- Check that the combined data matches the expected scope.
The entry names are those of the linked dashboard’s data. Before a comparison, check the period, the nature of the values and their units: kWh and MWh do not use the same scale. The global and detailed views belong to the hypervision widget, not to this widget.
Open the analysis in Chart’nX
Section titled “Open the analysis in Chart’nX”To the right of the title, Ouvrir Chart’nX (Open Chart’nX) opens Consumption analysis in a window above the dashboard, when access to the linked dashboard is available. The accessibility label of this button is Open consumption analysis.
- The arrow at the top left, Back to dashboard, closes this window. On a wide screen, it also carries the text Back.
- Open in a new tab, at the top right, opens this analysis separately.
The chart may be displayed while opening the analysis is not available: Ouvrir Chart’nX is then greyed out and its tooltip reads Sélectionnez un dashboard Chart’nX pour l’ouvrir (Select a Chart’nX dashboard to open it). Have the administrator check the linked dashboard and its access.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- No energy data available for this range.: this message only indicates that no data is available for the chosen period, not necessarily zero consumption. Check the widget, the linked dashboard and the period, then follow energy widget troubleshooting.
- Legend or part of the chart inaccessible on a narrow screen, even after scrolling: use a wider screen. An authorized person can also enlarge the widget.
- Analysis window empty, or opening still fails after the access has been checked: contact support.
For a display, a value or an opening that remains unexplained, write to support@can-nx.com stating the supervision, the widget, the period and the displayed message. Do not send the full address of an access link containing confidential information.
