Limit a Link’nX scenario to certain weekdays and months

The Days and Months condition in Link’nX allows a scenario only on certain weekdays and in certain months, for example Monday to Friday all year round. It is met when the current weekday and the current month are both among the selections. It does not choose a day number in the month.

Intended for administrators and installers. For dated periods or recurring exclusions, follow the specific date ranges and yearly recurrence guides instead.

Create the condition

1. In Conditions, click Add, then choose Days and Months in Select a condition type.
2. Fill in Name, for example “Reception Monday to Friday” as a fictitious example.
3. Open Days. All days are initially selected when you choose this type. Uncheck those that do not apply, for example Saturday and Sunday for the working days in this example.
4. Open Months. All months are initially selected. Uncheck those to exclude, or keep them all to apply the chosen days all year round.
5. Check that at least one day and one month remain selected, then click the floppy disk at the bottom right. Follow the save confirmations.
6. In the scenario, choose this condition in Date condition, then save the scenario.

Understand how days and months combine

The chosen days are alternatives to one another, and so are the months. The day must match one of the chosen days and the month must match one of the chosen months.

These examples are fictitious. A condition created this way does not automatically know about public holidays or exceptional closures.

Check the result

Reopen the condition from the Conditions list and review the Days and Months selections in the form. If a summary shows different information or information that is hard to interpret, keep these details and contact support before changing the rule.

Troubleshooting

• Issue with field ‘Days’ or ‘Months’. It requires a value.: select at least one value in each of the two fields.
• The condition does not have the expected effect: check the day and month concerned, its presence in Date condition, the scenario’s other conditions and its activation.
