--- title: Daikin KNX integration for air conditioning with Link’nX description: "Control Daikin air conditioning from KNX with Link’nX: mode, setpoint, fan speed, slats, special modes and status feedback, with step-by-step setup guides." canonical: https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/integrations/daikin/ language: en --- # Daikin KNX integration for air conditioning with Link’nX With Link’nX, a Daikin air conditioning unit fitted with a Wi-Fi adapter can be controlled from the KNX bus and from scenarios: on and off, mode, temperature setpoint, fan speed, slats direction and special modes. Its statuses and measurements (current mode, setpoint, indoor and outdoor temperatures, indoor humidity) can also be associated with KNX group addresses. This page sums up what the integration does and the commissioning order. ## What the Daikin integration does | Need | Where to configure it | Guide | | --- | --- | --- | | Declare the unit by the IPv4 address of its Wi-Fi adapter | **Devices → Climate & Energy → Daikin** | [Declare Daikin, Gude or Atmoce](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-dga-devices/) | | Control power, mode, setpoint or fan from a KNX button | Unit’s gateway table, **Actions** tab | [Associate Daikin commands and feedback with KNX](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-daikin-knx/) | | Read the status, mode, temperatures or humidity back on the bus | Gateway table, second tab | [Associate Daikin commands and feedback with KNX](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-daikin-knx/) | | Run a command in a scenario, on one or several units | **Daikin** actions | [Prepare Daikin actions](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-daikin-actions/) | | Enable a special mode (Powerful, Econo, Comfort…) | **Daikin** action or dedicated KNX row | [Prepare Daikin actions](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-daikin-actions/) | ## Step-by-step commissioning 1. [Declare the unit](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-dga-devices/) with a name and the IPv4 address of its Wi-Fi adapter on the local network. 2. [Associate its commands and feedback with KNX group addresses](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-daikin-knx/): commands in the **Actions** tab, statuses and measurements in the second tab. Save each tab before leaving it. 3. [Prepare the Daikin actions](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-daikin-actions/) your automations need, then [add them to the scenario concerned](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-compose-scenario/). 4. Test each command from the bus or the scenario and watch the unit: a save confirms neither the KNX exchange nor the actual temperature. ## Good to know - Mode is controlled in DPT 20.105: 0 Auto, 1 Heat, 3 Cool, 6 Off, 9 Fan, 14 Dehumidification. A unit that is off is reported as mode 6, and a mode change can turn it back on. - The setpoint uses DPT 9.001, from 10 to 32 °C in half degrees; fan speed and slats direction use DPT 5.010; indoor humidity uses DPT 9.007. - These KNX codes are not used in the **Actions** form: in a scenario, choose the mode and speed by their labels. - **Streamer air purifier** and **Holiday mode** concern classic BRP069 adapters; **Comfort mode** and **Outdoor unit quiet mode**, the generation running firmware 2.8.0 or later. **Powerful mode** requires the unit to be on. - Outdoor temperature and indoor humidity depend on the model: no feedback does not mean zero. For an unconfirmed model or generation, have support specify compatibility before changing the configuration.
