--- title: "Crestron KNX integration with Link’nX: objects and ETS export" description: "Connect a Crestron program to KNX objects with Link’nX: ETS report in CSV or a selection of up to 250 addresses, 12000-12999 ports and flags." canonical: https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/integrations/crestron/ language: en --- # Crestron KNX integration with Link’nX: objects and ETS export With Link’nX, a Crestron program accesses the installation’s KNX objects through a Crestron configuration, presented as a CI BAOS declaration. Each configuration combines a port used by the Crestron program, the KNX gateway parameters and a list of objects. This list comes from the ETS report in CSV of the CI-KNX device or from a selection among the KNX addresses already uploaded to Link’nX. ## What the Crestron integration does | Need | Where to configure it | Guide | | --- | --- | --- | | Prepare the object file in ETS | **Single device** report of the CI-KNX device | [Prepare the ETS report in CSV](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-crestron-export/) | | Create a configuration from this file | **Crestron → Add with file** | [Add a Crestron configuration](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-crestron-create/) | | Choose the objects among the uploaded KNX addresses | **Create with KNX addresses**, then **Select KNX addresses** | [Select the KNX objects](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-crestron-addresses/) | | Replace the CSV, edit the objects or delete a configuration | **Crestron** list | [Edit or remove a configuration](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-crestron-manage/) | ## Step-by-step commissioning 1. Note the Link’nX IP address used by the Crestron program, the planned port and the KNX gateway parameters. 2. Prepare [the ETS report in CSV](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-crestron-export/) of the CI-KNX device, or [upload the XML export of group addresses](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-knx-file/) to select the objects. 3. [Add the configuration](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-crestron-create/): name, port, KNX gateway, then the file or [the selected objects](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-crestron-addresses/). 4. Save with the floppy disk and wait for **Success!**. 5. Compare the destination address and the port of the Crestron program with the values in Link’nX. If something goes wrong, the [Crestron troubleshooting guide](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-crestron-help/) covers rejected files, an empty or incomplete selection and a saved configuration without effect. ## Good to know - The port of each configuration is chosen in the 12000-12999 range, with 12004 as the initial value. Each configuration uses a separate port, the one of its Crestron program. - The gateway fields are prefilled with 127.0.0.1 and 3671; the physical address 15.15.250 is only a format example. Check these values before saving. - The address selection is limited to 250 addresses, in DPT families 1, 2 and 5 to 18. When an address is added, the C, W and T flags are checked, R and U are not. - File mode expects the device CSV report: a renamed XML file is not suitable. A replacement CSV must not exceed 1 MB. - To change the port or the gateway parameters of an existing configuration, go through support.
