--- title: Export Pool’nX KNX group addresses to ETS (CSV file) description: Download from Pool’nX the CSV file of active group addresses, statuses and commands with their DPT, then import it into your ETS project. canonical: https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/pool-knx-ets-export/ language: en product: Pool’nX audience: - administrateur - installateur context: "Can’nX Cloud, Pool’nX window: Export to ETS button and import into ETS" --- # Export Pool’nX KNX group addresses to ETS (CSV file) Context: Can’nX Cloud, Pool’nX window: Export to ETS button and import into ETS **Export to ETS** downloads a CSV file with the active group addresses of Pool’nX, statuses then commands, each with its name and DPT. Import it into the ETS project to create these addresses without typing them again, then link them to the objects of the KNX devices. Intended for the installer who prepares the pool’s ETS project. ## Before you start - The addresses are entered and saved in [the KNX statuses](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/pool-knx-status/) and [the KNX commands](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/pool-knx-commands/). - Each row ticked **Active** has a complete address in X/Y/Z format. - Close the table you modified: the **Pool'nX** window then reloads the saved configuration, which the export uses. ## Download the file 1. In the **Pool'nX** window, next to **Export to ETS**, click the download button. 2. The browser saves a file named **poolnx_ets_** followed by a timestamp, in CSV format. The file contains only the rows ticked **Active**. Each line gives, in order: | Field | Content | | --- | --- | | Name | Standard name of the status or command, in the interface language | | Address | Group address, last level on three digits, for example **5/1/007** | | Three empty fields | Not filled in by Pool’nX | | DPT | Datapoint type in ETS format, for example **DPST-9-1** for DPT 9.001 | The file has no header line. The custom names of a Klereo controller are not used. ## Import into ETS 1. In ETS, open the project, then the group addresses view. 2. Use the group address import function and choose the CSV file. 3. Check the addresses created and their DPT, then rename them or sort them into your groups if needed. 4. Link each address to the KNX objects concerned: receiving objects for statuses, sending objects for commands. ## Check the result - The number of imported addresses matches the number of rows ticked **Active** in both tables. - The DPT of each address matches the **DPT** column of Pool’nX. ## Troubleshooting | Symptom | Cause and action | | --- | --- | | Nothing is downloaded | A row ticked **Active** has no complete three-level address. Correct it or untick it, save, close the table and try again. | | An address is missing | Its row is not ticked **Active**, or the table was not saved before the export. | | A command that was not exported still acts | A command runs as soon as it has an address, even without **Active**. Clear its address if it must not be used. | See also [Pool’nX troubleshooting](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/pool-help/). French labels: **Exporter vers ETS**, **Active**.
