--- title: "KNX gateway table in Link’nX: enter, activate and save" description: Map a device’s commands and feedback (Sonos, Airzone, DoorBird, Shelly…) to KNX group addresses in Link’nX, then activate the rows and save each tab. canonical: https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-gateway-table/ language: en product: Link’nX audience: - administrateur - installateur context: "Link’nX web: Gateway mode configuration of a device, Actions and Feedback tabs" --- # KNX gateway table in Link’nX: enter, activate and save Context: Link’nX web: Gateway mode configuration of a device, Actions and Feedback tabs In Link’nX, a device’s gateway table maps each of its commands and each of its status feedbacks to a group address of your KNX project. The same table serves Sonos, Airzone, DoorBird, Reolink, UniFi Protect and many other devices: you enter the addresses, activate the rows you need, then save each tab. Intended for installers and administrators. The functions and DPTs specific to each device are described in its guide, listed below. ## Before you start - The selected project, gateway and device row are the right ones. - The functions to map and their DPTs are chosen with the device’s guide. - The group addresses are assigned in the KNX project. For an uncertain address or DPT, ask the installer for the value before changing the associations. ## Open the gateway table 1. In the device list, for example **Sonos**, **Airzone**, **DoorBird Cloud**, **DoorBird (local)**, **Reolink** or **UniFi Protect**, click the two opposite arrows **Gateway mode configuration**. 2. The **Actions** tab presents the commands. The **second tab**, **Feedback**, marked with a speech-bubble icon, presents the status feedback. For DoorBird Cloud, this second tab presents no feedback. ## Choose the functions with the device’s guide | Devices | Guide to the functions, DPTs and units | | --- | --- | | Sonos | [Sonos gateway guide](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-sonos-gateway/) | | Airzone | [Airzone gateway guide](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-aidoo-gateway/) | | DoorBird Cloud | [DoorBird Cloud guide](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-doorbird-cloud-gateway/) | | DoorBird (local) | [local DoorBird guide](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-doorbird-local-automation/) | | Reolink | [Reolink gateway guide](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-reolink-gateway/) | | UniFi Protect | [UniFi Protect gateway guide](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-unifi-protect-gateway/) | | UniFi Access | [UniFi Access points](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-unifi-access-events-knx/) | | BluOS, Denon | [KNX audio associations](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-audio-knx/) | | Evlink Pro AC, Lektri.co, Terra AC chargers | [EV chargers’ KNX commands](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-charger-knx/) and [their status feedback](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-charger-feedback/) | | Daikin | [Daikin associations](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-daikin-knx/), with their limits | | Atmoce | [Atmoce associations](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-atmoce-knx/), with their limits | | Samsung and Sony TVs | [Samsung associations and Sony caveats](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-tv-knx/) | | Shelly | [Shelly commands](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-shelly-knx/) and [their status feedback](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-shelly-feedback/), depending on the model and the channel | Two devices have their own table: Somfy, whose rows are added, saved and reread as described in [the Somfy KNX associations](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-somfy-knx/), and UniFi Network, which uses [a table with one target per association](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-unifi-network-presence-knx/). ## Enter the group addresses The table presents **Name**, **DPT**, **Address** and **Active**. The function name and the DPT cannot be edited. On a screen 480 pixels wide or less, each row becomes a block with the labels **Name**, **DPT**, **KNX Group Address** and **Active**. 1. In **Address**, enter the KNX group address assigned to the function, in three-level format: main group from **0 to 31**, middle group from **0 to 7**, last level from **0 to 255**. The fictitious example **1/2/10** is only suitable if it matches your project. 2. Choose distinct addresses for different associations. To assign a sequence of consecutive addresses, follow the [automatic filling](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-gateway-addresses/). **KNX addresses updated!** means that the fields have been filled; only the save confirmation validates that they are saved. ## Activate the rows and filter the table - Check **Active** for the rows to use. Uncheck a row to deactivate its association without erasing its address. - The **Active** header checkbox acts on **all rows of the table**, including those hidden by the filters. Check everything again after using it. - **Type to filter...** searches for part of the function’s displayed name, without distinguishing upper and lower case. - **Show only active** hides unchecked rows. Clear the text and uncheck this filter to see all rows again, in particular a row you have just deactivated. ## Save each tab 1. Reread the addresses and the **Active** checkboxes. 2. Click the **floppy disk at the bottom right**. 3. Wait for **Succès** (Success) with **Données sauvegardées avec succès !** (Data saved successfully!). The page stays open. Save each tab before switching tabs or leaving the page. If **You made change to the table, do you want to save them?** appears while switching tabs, this prompt is about saving the modified table. ## Check the result The table is not saved automatically. To check the save, return to the device list, reopen the gateway and reread the values actually presented. The confirmation covers the table: then test the associations from the KNX bus and watch the device. ## Troubleshooting - **Erreur lors de la sauvegarde des données.** (Error while saving data.): consider that the table is not saved. Check the context and the values, then save again. - Row missing: clear **Type to filter...** and uncheck **Show only active**.
