--- title: Delete actions, triggers, conditions and scenarios in Link’nX description: Delete one item or a selection in Link’nX while spotting the linked scenarios, then check which items were deleted and which ones failed to delete. canonical: https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-delete-elements/ language: en product: Link’nX audience: - administrateur - installateur context: "Link’nX web: Triggers, Conditions, Actions and Scenarios lists, single or multiple deletion" --- # Delete actions, triggers, conditions and scenarios in Link’nX Context: Link’nX web: Triggers, Conditions, Actions and Scenarios lists, single or multiple deletion In the **Triggers**, **Conditions**, **Actions** and **Scenarios** lists of Link’nX, you can delete one item at a time or a selection of several items. Before you confirm, Link’nX shows the scenarios linked to the items concerned. Intended for administrators and installers. To remove only a folder while keeping its scenarios, follow [Delete a scenario folder](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-folders/); to change the filing, use [Move scenarios](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-move-scenarios/). ## Before you start - Check the project, the gateway and the names concerned. - For a shared action, trigger or condition, first see [the linked scenarios](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-related-scenarios/). - Deletion removes configurations and the list offers no general restore button: make sure you can rebuild an item removed by mistake. ## Delete a single item 1. [Find the item in its list](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-lists/) and exit **Select** if it is active. 2. For an action, a condition or a trigger, click the **Delete** trash can on its row. For a scenario, open its three vertical dots, then **Delete**. 3. If linked scenarios are shown, the **Scenario affected by this change:** or **Scenarios affected by this change:** window lists them. Review them. **CANCEL** keeps the item; **DELETE** confirms its deletion. If you must preserve these uses without knowing the necessary changes, cancel and have the configuration checked. 4. With no linked scenario shown, a browser confirmation asks **Supprimer l'élément : nom ?** (Delete item: name?). Check the name before confirming, or cancel. 5. Wait for **Deleted!**. ## Delete several items 1. In the section concerned, click **Select**, then check the rows to remove. Clear the filters and check the whole selection, including items that may have been hidden. 2. Click **Delete (N)** in the bottom bar. The **Delete N items?** window shows the selected items. 3. Review both groups. **Safe to delete**, with **No conflicts**, groups the items with no linked scenario shown: still check that you really want to delete them. **Used in scenarios** shows, for each item, the names of the scenarios concerned. 4. All the rows offered are initially checked, including those used in scenarios: uncheck each item to keep. 5. Check **N of M selected**, then click **Delete (N)**. **Cancel** closes the request before deletion. 6. During **Deleting...**, wait for processing to finish: the window offers no way to cancel the operation in progress. 7. At **Deletion complete**, review the results, then click **Close**. ## Check the result - After a single deletion, check the list after **Deleted!**. - After a multiple deletion, read separately **N item(s) deleted successfully** and **N item(s) failed to delete**; the latter is followed by the name and the error of each item concerned. Progress reaching its end means that all the items have been processed, not that all of them have been deleted. After **Close**, check the items still present: successful deletions remain applied even if others failed. - Review the scenarios that used the deleted items and correct their configuration if necessary: they may be incomplete. ## Troubleshooting - Some items failed: to resume, select only the items still present that you really want to remove, after checking their uses. - An item was removed by mistake and you do not know how to rebuild it, or the result of a deletion remains uncertain: contact support@can-nx.com with the section, the names concerned, the message and the steps already taken. Do not send any private access link or secret.
