--- title: "Crestron: edit, replace the CSV or delete a configuration" description: Replace the CSV report, rename, edit the KNX objects or delete a Crestron CI BAOS configuration from the Crestron list in Link’nX, by creation mode. canonical: https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-crestron-manage/ language: en product: Link’nX audience: - administrateur - installateur context: "Link’nX web: Crestron list, configurations created with a file or with KNX addresses" --- # Crestron: edit, replace the CSV or delete a configuration Context: Link’nX web: Crestron list, configurations created with a file or with KNX addresses From the **Crestron** list in Link’nX, you can replace the CSV report of a CI BAOS configuration, rename it, go back over its KNX objects or delete it. The commands offered depend on the creation mode: with a file or with KNX addresses. Intended for administrators and installers. To create a configuration, follow [Add a Crestron configuration](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-crestron-create/). ## Before you start - Open **Crestron** in the project and gateway concerned. - Reread the name and the port of the row before choosing it. - To change the **Port**, **KNX Gateway IP**, **Gateway port** or **Gateway physical address** of an existing configuration, contact support to establish the steps needed for it to take effect. ## Replace the CSV of a configuration created with a file 1. Prepare the new [ETS report in CSV](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-crestron-export/) for the right device. 2. In the **File** column, click the small icon with an **upward arrow**, next to the file name of the row concerned. 3. Choose the CSV. For this replacement, it must not be empty and must not exceed **1 MB**, that is **1,000,000 bytes**. 4. Reread the browser confirmation **Upload file** and the chosen name. Confirm to send it, or cancel to keep the current file. 5. Wait for **Success!**. ## Rename a configuration created with a file 1. Click the **Edit** pencil of its row. The **CI BAOS modification** form opens and shows **To save changes to this device, select its CSV file again**. 2. Change **Name**. 3. Under **Upload configuration**, select the CSV of the configuration again. 4. Click the **floppy disk at the bottom right**, then wait for **Success!**. ## Edit a configuration created with KNX addresses 1. Click the **Edit** pencil of its row. The form displays **CI BAOS modification**. 2. Change **Name** or go back over the [selection of objects and flags](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-crestron-addresses/). Check the object numbers after any address removal. 3. Reread the form, click the **floppy disk at the bottom right**, then wait for **Success!**. ## Delete a configuration 1. Check its uses in the Crestron programming before deleting it. This list offers no restore button. 2. Click the **Delete** trash can of the row. 3. If a **Scenario affected by this change:** or **Scenarios affected by this change:** window appears, examine all the items shown. **CANCEL** keeps the configuration; **DELETE** confirms. 4. Otherwise, the browser confirmation asks **Supprimer l'élément : nom ?** (Delete item: name?), in French in every interface language: check the name before confirming. 5. Wait for **Deleted!**. ## Check the result - After a replacement, check the file name and the **Upload date** in the list. The date is hidden if the display is less than 700 pixels wide. - After an edit, reopen the configuration with **Edit** and review the name and, in address mode, the matches between objects and addresses. - After a deletion, check that the row has disappeared. The deletion removes the Link’nX configuration: your Crestron programming stays in place and commands already carried out on the equipment are not undone. ## Troubleshooting - **File is empty** or **File is too large**: choose a CSV that contains data and does not exceed 1 MB. - If the expected name or date is not confirmed after a replacement, contact support before sending again. - Do not delete and then recreate a configuration to try to correct a connection without a validated procedure. For other symptoms, follow the [Crestron troubleshooting](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-crestron-help/). If a deletion was made by mistake, if you do not know its uses or if the result remains uncertain, contact support@can-nx.com with the context, the name concerned and the message.
