Always start by checking the project, the gateway and the Crestron row concerned. ## Which file does Crestron need, CSV or XML? Both, depending on the mode. For **Add with file** in **Crestron**, prepare the [device report in CSV](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-crestron-export/). For **Create with KNX addresses**, first upload the [XML export of group addresses](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-knx-file/), then choose the objects in the Crestron form. ## Why does Crestron not appear in Link’nX? Check the equipment navigation and its [display on mobile](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-navigation/). If the card is unavailable for your context or if the option is not established, contact support. A link received in a message grants neither an option nor a right. ## Why does the floppy disk stay disabled? A required field is empty or invalid. In **CI BAOS declaration** or **CI BAOS modification**, check **Name**, the main port between **12000 and 12999**, and the three gateway fields. In file mode, also choose the CSV; when editing, select it again. In address mode, correct the object numbers flagged as duplicates or outside the range 1 to 255. If the fields are filled in but saving remains impossible, note the visible indications and contact support. ## Why is the port reported as already in use? **Port N is already used by the CI-KNX device "name"** means that another Crestron configuration of the gateway uses this port. Each configuration must have its own port: enter the one that the Crestron programming plans for this CI-KNX. ## Why is my CSV file rejected? The file is not a valid CSV for Link’nX. With **Bad file format. File must be .csv**, check that it really is the CSV export of the requested report, then select this file. A renamed extension is not enough. During a replacement from the list, **File is empty** or **File is too large** means you should check that the CSV contains data and stays within the 1 MB limit. If the correct export is still rejected, send support the ETS version, the browser, the size and the message. ## Why is the KNX selection empty or missing the address I want? The search or the uploaded ETS file limits the addresses offered. Clear **Filter...** and disable **Activate case sensitivity** if it was limiting the search. If no address appears, check the [uploaded ETS file](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-knx-file/), then reopen the selection. If the address is still missing while it is expected in the project, contact support instead of choosing another one to continue. ## Why are addresses missing after selecting everything? The button only adds the visible rows, and the selection is limited to 250 addresses. Clear the search, examine the boxes and the counter. After **More than 250 addresses selected!**, check again what was kept. If you need to exceed this limit, have support establish the appropriate configuration. ## Why is the configuration not in the list after Save? The address window button only carries the selection over into the table. Then confirm with the **floppy disk of the main form**, wait for **Success!** and check the list. With **Failed to send CI BAOS configuration**, or if these steps have already been carried out without a confirmed result, contact support without repeating the creations. ## How do I edit a configuration created with a file? The **Edit** pencil is offered on every row. For a configuration created with a file, it opens the CSV form, and the CSV must be selected again before saving. To replace only the file, use the upward arrow next to its name; see [Edit or remove a configuration](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-crestron-manage/). The file date is hidden below a width of 700 pixels. To change the connection parameters of an existing configuration, go through support. ## Why does Crestron control nothing after saving? **Success!** confirms the save in Link’nX; the command also depends on the Crestron programming. Reread the name and the port of the row, then compare the destination address and the port planned in the Crestron programming with the Link’nX values. In address mode, also check the **Object / Address** matches after the changes. If these checks have already been made or if you do not have the parameters, contact support. Do not change the ports, the flags or the gateway at random. ## Contact support If the problem persists after these checks, write to support@can-nx.com with: Link’nX — Crestron, the context concerned, file or address mode, the symptom and the message, the steps already tried. Add a screenshot without sensitive data if it helps locate the blockage. Do not send any private access link or secret.
