--- title: "Airzone and KNX: map commands to group addresses" description: "Control Airzone air conditioning from the KNX bus with Link’nX: power, HVAC mode in DPT 20.105, setpoints, fan and slats, with the DPT of each row." canonical: https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-aidoo-gateway/ language: en product: Link’nX audience: - administrateur - installateur context: "Link’nX web: KNX gateway table of a declared Airzone device, Actions tab" --- # Airzone and KNX: map commands to group addresses Context: Link’nX web: KNX gateway table of a declared Airzone device, Actions tab The Airzone gateway table in Link’nX maps the group addresses of your KNX project to the commands of an Airzone air-conditioning zone: on and off, mode, setpoints, fan speed, timer, air quality, slats and swing. A KNX object then controls the zone directly, without going through a scenario. Intended for installers and administrators who have the KNX project. To prepare a command in a scenario, use the named choices of the [Airzone action form](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-aidoo-action/). To read a state, see the [Airzone status feedback](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-aidoo-feedback/). ## Before you start - The device is [declared in Link’nX](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-aidoo-device/). In its list, check **IP address**, **System ID** and **Zone ID**. - The capabilities of the air-conditioning system are confirmed: the modes, speeds, slats and air-quality functions used must be available on the hardware. - The installation works in Celsius. For Fahrenheit, an uncertain unit or an unconfirmed compatibility, contact support before activating the relevant rows. ## Open the zone’s gateway table In **Airzone**, find the device row and click the **two opposite horizontal arrows**, **Gateway mode configuration**. Each row of the table concerns the system and the zone of this declaration. The [gateway table guide](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-gateway-table/) details the fields, the filters and the mobile variant. ## Map the KNX commands 1. In **Actions**, choose the necessary rows using the tables below. 2. Fill in **Address**, check the **DPT** displayed and check **Active**. Use a distinct address for each different Airzone association. 3. Program the KNX objects with the corresponding DPTs and values. 4. Click the **floppy disk at the bottom right** and wait for **Données sauvegardées avec succès !** (Data saved successfully!) before switching tabs. To deactivate an association without erasing its address, uncheck **Active**, then save. | Command row | DPT | Values to send | | --- | --- | --- | | **Toggle device on or off** | 1.001 | 1 turns on, 0 turns off: this datapoint sets the requested state | | **Turn on**, **Turn off** | 1.001 | Each write triggers the named command, even with the value 0; use **Toggle device on or off** if your object distinguishes on and off by 1 and 0 | | **Set temperature setpoint**, **Set cooling setpoint**, **Set heating setpoint** | 9.001 | Temperature in Celsius, with the limits and step of the [setpoints guide](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-aidoo-values/) | | **Set fan speed** | 5.010 | 0 for Auto; 1 to 7 depending on the speeds available on the equipment | | **Set sleep timer** | 7.006 | 0 deactivates the timer; 30, 60 or 90 schedule switch-off after that number of minutes | | **Set ionization mode** | 5.010 | 0 Off, 1 On, 2 Auto, on compatible equipment | | **Set low air quality threshold** | 5.010 | Whole number from 0 to 99, strictly below the high threshold | | **Set high air quality threshold** | 5.010 | Whole number from 1 to 100, strictly above the low threshold | | **Set vertical slats position**, **Set horizontal slats position** | 5.010 | Position 0, 1, 2 or 3, depending on the equipment’s capabilities | | **Set horizontal swing**, **Set vertical swing** | 1.001 | 0 stops the swing, 1 activates it | To change both air-quality thresholds, have the order and the values that keep the low threshold below the high threshold at each step confirmed. A KNX association does not provide the current values of these thresholds in the form. ## Choose the HVAC mode values The **Set mode** row uses DPT **20.105** with the following values. Other values of this datapoint are not covered. | KNX value | Mode | | --- | --- | | 0 | Auto | | 1 | Heat | | 3 | Cool | | 6 | Off | | 8 | Auxiliary heat | | 9 | Fan | | 14 | Dehumidification | ## Check the result **Données sauvegardées avec succès !** confirms that the mappings are saved. Then send each command from the bus, for example with a push button or the ETS group monitor, and watch the actual zone: power, mode, setpoint or slats. ## Troubleshooting - Check the targeted declaration, the **Address**, the **Active** checkbox, the DPT and the value sent by the KNX object. - **Turn on** and **Turn off** react to any write, including 0: for an on/off object, map **Toggle device on or off**. - A mode, speed or position with no effect may be missing from the hardware: have the installer check it. For other symptoms, follow the [Airzone troubleshooting](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/link-aidoo-help/). If these checks have already been done, contact support@can-nx.com.
