--- title: "Emergy’nX: enter the site’s GPS coordinates for weather data" description: Place the building in Emergy’nX by latitude and longitude, on the map or with My location, to get weather data and the solar production forecast. canonical: https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/emergy-building-weather/ language: en product: Emergy’nX audience: - administrateur - installateur context: "Emergy’nX, Building Config: Meteo card, site GPS coordinates" --- # Emergy’nX: enter the site’s GPS coordinates for weather data Context: Emergy’nX, Building Config: Meteo card, site GPS coordinates The **Meteo** card in Emergy’nX stores the latitude and longitude of the building. These coordinates are used for the project’s weather data and solar production forecasts. For the project’s installer or administrator, who knows the position of the building concerned. ## Place the site 1. Open **Building Config → Meteo → Configure**, or **Edit** if a configuration exists. On a small screen, first open the three-line menu. 2. Under **GPS Coordinates**, place the site using one of the available methods: enter **Latitude** and **Longitude**, click its position on the map, or move the marker already present. The coordinates and the marker update together. 3. If the device is on site and you want to use its location, you can click **My location**. This button uses the position of the device: remotely, enter the building’s coordinates instead or place it on the map. 4. Reread **Latitude** and **Longitude**. They are required, in decimal form: latitude from −90 to 90, longitude from −180 to 180. Both comma and point are accepted. 5. Click **Save**, then wait for **Configuration saved successfully**. Without saved coordinates, the map opens centered on France: this initial center does not indicate the position of your building. ## Check the result Go back to **Building Config**, reopen **Meteo → Edit** and check the coordinates kept. The forecasts may not be refreshed immediately after the position is saved. ## Troubleshooting | Symptom | Action | | --- | --- | | **Could not get your location. Check your location permissions.** | Allow location in your browser if it suits the context, or directly enter the known coordinates of the site. | | **Geolocation is not available on this device.** | Enter the coordinates or place the marker on the map: unavailable geolocation does not prevent manual entry. | | The map does not load | Check whether the **Latitude** and **Longitude** fields remain usable and enter the known position. | | Saving fails | Do not consider the coordinates kept: reopen the configuration card to check them. | | The weather remains unexpected after saving | Check the project, then the saved latitude and longitude. | If these checks do not succeed, contact support@can-nx.com with the context, the symptom and the attempts already made. French labels: **Config. bâtiment**, **Météo**, **Configurer**, **Modifier**, **Coordonnées GPS**, **Latitude**, **Longitude**, **Ma position**, **Enregistrer**.
