# Organize, duplicate or remove the cards of a Chart’nX water dashboard

Context: Chart’nX: water dashboard generator, Sub-meters and Display order sections

In the Chart’nX water generator, give each meter group a color, set the order of the cards in the generated dashboard, duplicate a secondary meter, or remove a secondary or an entire group.

Intended for administrators and installers, in a water dashboard opened with **Configure**. The [groups and meters](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/chart-water-groups/) are in **Sub-meters**.

## Choose a group’s color

1. In the group header, click the color dot with the **Choose color** tooltip.
2. Select a suggested color or use the custom color picker. **Preview — dashboard card** shows the effect on a card header.
3. Click outside the picker to close it.

This color applies to the headers of the group’s cards in the generated dashboard.

## Set the display order

1. Scroll down to the **Display order** section. Each row bears the name of a primary or secondary meter of the groups, with a color marker; the configured weather and basins also appear there.
2. Drag a row by the dotted handle on the left to the position you want.

The total meter is configured separately and is not part of this list.

## Duplicate a secondary meter

1. In the card of a KNX or Modbus secondary, click the two-sheets icon **Duplicate the meter**. A new card appears in the same group, with the suffix **-- Copy** in its name.
2. Rename it, then review its address or configuration, its historical addresses, its measurement mode, its unit, its factor and its overlays.
3. Also check its **Display** boxes, initially checked on the copy.

## Remove a secondary

1. Click the **Delete the meter** trash icon of its card.
2. The window, in English (**Remove meter … ?**), names the meter: **Cancel** keeps the card, **Confirm** removes it from the form.

The removed meter also disappears from the calculations that used it and from the display order. Reread these calculations before saving.

## Remove an entire group

Check the group, then click the **Remove group** trash icon in its header. The group and its cards disappear directly from the form, without the confirmation required for a secondary. The configurations of the Modbus catalog stay in place and the physical meters receive no command.

## Undo an unsaved removal

On an existing dashboard, if you removed a card or a group by mistake without saving yet, **Cancel** in the save bar returns to the last saved configuration. The other unsaved changes are also discarded. See [Save and exit](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/chart-save/).

Once the deletion has been saved, no automatic recovery is described: rebuild the expected configuration, or contact support if you don’t know how to rebuild it.

## Check the result

Save the dashboard to keep the color, the order, the copies and the removals. Then reopen it and check the header colors and the order of the cards.

## Troubleshooting

If the order or the color is not found after a successful save and reopening the dashboard, contact support@can-nx.com with the dashboard name, the cards concerned and the steps already tried. A screenshot without sensitive data can show the expected order and the one obtained.
