They are intended for users who view a water dashboard and administrators or installers who configure one. Resume at the check that matches the symptom; if a check has already failed, keep its result for support. ## Where are the fields of a water dashboard? Check the project and the dashboard name. In Emergy’nX, open an existing water dashboard, then **Configure**. The **New dashboard** command in this flow opens an energy dashboard. If you need to create a water dashboard and have no appropriate command, contact support; see [the water general information](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/chart-water-general/). ## How do I add a water submeter? In **Sub-meters**, first click **+ New group**, then **+ Add secondary meter** inside this group. To import, use **Import modbus** in the header of the destination group. Follow [Add a water group](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/chart-water-groups/). ## Why is saving refused? Check the list of fields to correct in the save bar, described in [Save the dashboard](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/chart-save/): - virtual primary without a secondary: add at least one secondary measurement to the group; - **Required**: check the name of the dashboard and of the meters, the address or Modbus configuration, the unit and the non-zero factor; - **Historical** row added empty: fill in the intended address or remove this row; - incomplete overlay source: complete its address or labels in **Overlays**. A group can mix liters, kiloliters and cubic meters: this difference in units does not prevent saving. Keep the necessary meters active rather than disabling them just to save. If all the known fields are correct and the block persists, contact support with the exact message. ## Why is presence not displayed? In **Overlays**, check the **Presence / absence** source: its address, then, in **High / low state**, the value set on the ▲ **Present** row. Then check that the card of the meter concerned carries the **Band** chip of this source; otherwise, add it with **+ Add overlay**, as described in [Overlay temperature or presence](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/chart-meter-display/). Finally, check the period and the expected availability of the measurements. For KNX, handle [monitoring](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/chart-monitoring-help/) if necessary. If these checks have already been done, contact support. ## Why does the volume look wrong, or the sum differ from the primary? Check the [period and precision](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/chart-period/), then the display unit in [the dashboard settings](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/chart-display/). The installer then checks the received unit, the factor and the **Index** or **Not indexed** mode of each meter. - A **Real** primary is a dedicated measurement; **Virtual (∑ secondaries)** is a sum. Under a virtual primary, a secondary whose **Count in the group total** box is unchecked is left out of the sum. - For **Operations**, reread the components and their signs according to [Compose a water calculation](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/chart-water-operations/). Before concluding that there is a leak or a failure, check these parameters and the expected measurements; if they remain uncertain, contact support. ## Why is the chart empty even though the Modbus test responds? Check that the dashboard uses the tested configuration, that the card is displayed, that the save succeeded and that the expected period contains data. The direct reading covers the present moment; the history of the period depends on the recorded measurements. Follow [Test a Modbus reading](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/chart-modbus-test/) for the test messages, then contact support if the display is still empty after these checks. ## How do I recover a group deleted by mistake? If the existing dashboard has not been saved yet, **Cancel** in the save bar returns to its last saved configuration. This also discards your other unsaved changes. See [Organize or remove water cards](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/chart-water-layout/). If the deletion has already been saved and the rebuild is not established, contact support. ## Contact support If the problem persists, write to support@can-nx.com with: Chart’nX water, the project and the dashboard, the symptom or message, the period, the meters or group concerned, and the checks already done with their results.
