--- title: View and filter a zone’s components in Boss’nX description: Open a Boss’nX zone page, search for a component by name or type, collapse the cards and see datapoints beyond fifteen in the component detail. canonical: https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-zone/ language: en product: Boss’nX audience: - utilisateur - administrateur - installateur context: "Boss’nX, building supervision: zone page opened from Building, By floor tab" --- # View and filter a zone’s components in Boss’nX Context: Boss’nX, building supervision: zone page opened from Building, By floor tab The page of a Boss’nX zone shows one card per component in the zone, with its datapoints: measurements, states and commands. From there you search for a component by name or type, collapse the cards and open a component’s detail. Intended for users, administrators and installers signed in to a supervision, opened directly or from the hypervision. The visible content depends on the account’s scope. ## Open the zone page 1. Choose **Building**, then the **By floor** tab. Find the building part and the floor with [the topology landmarks](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-building/). 2. Click the zone name in its card. 3. Check the name displayed as the title and the attachment shown just below it. 4. Browse the component cards of this zone. **No floor assigned** indicates that no floor is associated with the zone. The subtitle then shows a building part or **Sans rattachement** (not attached, shown in French). This marker describes the zone’s attachment, not the state of its components: it does not indicate an offline component. The back arrow, at the top left, returns to the previous page. On a narrow screen, its text is hidden but the arrow remains. To return explicitly to the topology, choose **Building**, then the **By floor** tab. ## Search for a component in the zone 1. Click **Filtrer** (filter). 2. In **Search**, enter the component name in **Filter by name...**. The search is approximate: it may keep names close to what you typed. 3. In **Component types**, select one or more types if needed. Selected buttons turn blue. ![Zone page with the Filtrer panel open: Filter by name field and component type buttons](https://wiki.can-nx.com/media/en/boss-zone/filtrer.webp) 4. Check the remaining cards: each one matches the search and one of the selected types. With no type selected, all types in the zone are retained. Click a type again to remove it. **Reset**, in this panel, clears the search and the type selection. Closing the panel with **Filtrer** keeps its criteria. If no card remains visible, reopen it and click **Reset** before concluding that a component is missing. This search covers the names of the components in the open zone. To find another zone, use [the topology search](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-building-filter/). ## Collapse the cards and see all datapoints The cards are expanded when the page opens. Each row represents a datapoint of the component: a measurement, a state or a command, depending on its configuration and your permissions. | Action | Result | | --- | --- | | **Collapse** on a card | Keeps a preview of two datapoints and shows the number of hidden datapoints. | | **Expand** on a card | Shows its datapoints again, up to fifteen on this page. | | **Replier tout** (collapse all) or **Déplier tout** (expand all) | Applies the action to the cards retained by the current filters. | | **View more (… hidden datapoint(s))** | Opens the component detail so you can see the rest. | | Component name or **View details** icon | Also opens its detail. | A card with two datapoints or fewer has no collapse button. The global button does not reflect collapses made card by card: the state of a card is shown by its own button. After changing the filters, use **Expand** on the card you are interested in if needed. Datapoints hidden by your permissions stay hidden, including after **View more**. If an expected datapoint is still missing, ask your administrator to check the component and your scope. To read all the rows and choose the right control, see [a component’s detail](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-component/) and [command troubleshooting](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-command-help/). ## Use the other zone actions - **Displayed values** opens [the choice of the three values on the zone card](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-zone-display/). - **History**, when available, opens [the commands recorded for this zone](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-zone-history/). - **Create QR access** appears depending on topology management permissions. To choose the authorized components and generate an access, follow [creating a QR code](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-qr-create/). The presence of this button does not change the command permissions on the components. ## Troubleshooting - On a narrow screen, the cards are arranged in a single column and the row of actions near the title may be wider than the visible area. If **Filtrer**, **History** or **Displayed values** is out of reach, use a wider screen. - **Zone not found.**: choose **Back to topology**, then explicitly select the **By floor** tab and find the zone again. - For an empty card, a missing datapoint or an unexpected card value, follow [the zone viewing troubleshooting guide](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-zone-help/). ## Contact support If the zone still cannot be found or if these checks do not solve your problem, write to support@can-nx.com with the supervision, the zone you are looking for, your profile and the visible message. French labels: **Replier**, **Déplier**, **Voir les détails**, **Voir plus**. The **Filtrer**, **Replier tout** and **Déplier tout** buttons stay in French in the English interface.
