# Share access to Boss’nX: login link and QR code

Context: Boss’nX, Users page of a supervision: Share access window

The **Share access** button on the **Users** page shows the login link of a Boss’nX supervision and its QR code. Copy this link or download the QR code as a PNG to send it to the people who need to log in. The link opens a login page: it creates no account.

## Before you start

- You can open **Users** in the supervision to share, as described in [view accounts](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-users-consult/).
- Each recipient has their own credentials and authorizations. To prepare an account, an administrator can follow [create a user](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-users-create/).

## Copy the login link

1. Open the supervision you want. From hypervision, first enter this supervision: the aggregated view does not offer sharing of a single Boss’nX.
2. Open **Menu → Users**.
3. Click **Share access**, next to **Refresh**. The **Share access to Boss'nX** window opens.
4. Wait for the QR code to appear. The **Login link** is written below it.
5. Click **Copy link**. **Link copied.** confirms the copy to the clipboard.
6. Check the supervision, then paste the link into the message intended for the person concerned.

## Download the QR code

1. In the same window, click **Download PNG**.
2. Find **boss-login-qr.png** in the browser’s downloads, or in the location chosen if the browser asks for one.
3. Use this image to present the login link to the people concerned. It is a square PNG image, 512 pixels per side.

Close the window with the **Close** cross, Escape or a click on the outside background. Closing it deletes neither the image already downloaded nor the link already copied.

## Check the result

The copied link and the QR code open the login page of this Boss’nX. If the page that opens is not the expected one, go back to the right supervision and copy its link again. To log in afterwards, the person follows [Boss’nX access](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-access/).

## Troubleshooting

| Observation | Action |
| --- | --- |
| **Share access** is missing | Check that you are in a supervision and that you have access to **Users**. From the hypervision overview, first open the supervision to share. |
| **Could not copy the link.** | Manually select the text under **Login link**, then use your browser’s copy command. |
| **Could not generate the QR code.** | Use the link written in the window. To retry the generation, close and reopen sharing. **Download PNG** remains unavailable as long as the QR code is not generated. |
| PNG not found | Check your browser’s downloads and messages, then try again from the sharing window. |
| Login difficulty after opening the link | Follow [the access help](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-access-help/). |

If the button is still missing, if copying or QR code generation still fails, or if logging in remains impossible, write to support@can-nx.com with the context and the message noted. Never send a password.
