Here is how to save or abandon them, leave the page with pending changes and recover after a partial save, a missing space or a reset. The [targeted import](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-knx-targeted-spaces/) has its own apply confirmation. ## Save or abandon the changes 1. Confirm the last name you typed with Enter. 2. Review the prepared spaces, attachments, orders and deletions. 3. At the bottom of the page, **N unsaved change(s)** indicates that a preparation still needs to be applied. Click **Save** only once. 4. Wait for **Saving…** to finish. During the operation, stay on the page and do not add other changes. 5. Read all the messages shown, then check the result. **Save** is disabled when no change is pending and while saving is in progress. To abandon the preparation, click **Discard changes**: the lists return to the last known saved state. This action does not recreate a space whose deletion has already been saved. ## Leave the page with pending changes If you change step or leave the page within the application while changes are pending, the **Unsaved changes** window offers three choices: | Choice | Result | | --- | --- | | **Stay** | You keep working on the page, with the preparation kept. | | **Leave without saving** | The changes that are still pending are abandoned and navigation continues. | | **Save & leave** | Saving is attempted before continuing. If it fails, stay to check and resume. | While this window is saving, its actions are disabled: wait for it to finish. Closing a tab or reloading the page may trigger a browser-specific warning. Consider the draft lost after closing or reloading: save the changes you want before leaving. ## Check the result The preparation is displayed in the lists before saving: a visible zone is only saved after **Save**. After **Organization saved.**, check that: - the pending changes have disappeared from the counter; - the saved names and attachments match the expected ones; - after a deletion or a move, the components concerned are in the right location. An error shown at the same time as this message requires further checking: follow the next section. ## What if saving fails or the counter remains? **Some changes could not be saved. Please retry.** may correspond to a partial result: some spaces may already be saved while other changes remain pending. 1. Wait for **Saving…** to finish and keep the messages. Do not immediately recreate the whole series of spaces. 2. Stay on the page to keep the preparation. Review the names, the parents and the number of remaining changes. 3. If a specific error requires a field or location correction, make only that confirmed correction. 4. If the result and the expected changes are clear, click **Save** once to apply the remaining preparation. Creations already reported as saved do not need to be entered again. 5. Check the lists and the messages again. Contact support before trying again if the counter does not disappear, if an order error appears despite a success message, or if you have already retried without success. Before reloading the page to review the saved state, note the expected changes that are still missing. If several people are editing the organization at the same time, coordinate the recovery with the administrator. For an undetermined result, ask support for confirmation instead of saving an old state again. ## Can I undo a partial save? Only for the remaining changes. **Leave without saving** or **Discard changes** abandons the rest of the preparation, but the operations already applied are kept. Have any restoration of the previous state confirmed before acting. ## Why does a floor or a zone seem to have disappeared? A change of attachment may have moved it out of the displayed list. Look for it in the other lists before concluding that it was deleted: - For a floor, select the other parts, then **Floors without section**. - For a zone, select the destination floor or **Zones without floor (Unassigned)**, at the bottom of the **Floors** column. After a floor has been removed, [reassign the kept zones](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-organization/). - If components are no longer in their expected location, open [Components](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-components-find/) and check their location fields before recreating or deleting them. ## Why is the targeted import or reset button greyed out? **Save or discard your changes first** means that a manual preparation is still pending. Finish it with **Save** or deliberately abandon it with **Discard changes**. Two other conditions apply: - **Manage detected items** also requires an available project. - **Reset topology** is also disabled when the organization is empty or a reset is in progress. ## What does “Reset topology” delete? **Reset topology** announces the deletion of all building parts, all floors and all zones, then asks for confirmation. It is not used to resume an import or a save. To intentionally reset a building that is already configured, first have support confirm the scope and the expected recovery. If **Reset failed. Please verify remaining items.** appears after an action has already started, wait for the operations to finish, check what remains, then contact support. Do not assume that everything was kept or deleted, and do not run the reset again at random. ## Why do double-click or drag-and-drop not give the expected result? Use the explicit controls: the **Edit** or **Rename** pencil for a name, and the **Select a floor** menu for a zone’s destination. Then check the result and save. ## Contact support If the problem persists after these checks, write to support@can-nx.com with: the supervision, the names of the spaces concerned, the last action, the messages shown and the checks already made.
