--- title: Switch from a supervision to a Boss’nX hypervision and back description: Open the Boss’nX hypervision from a supervision with the header chip, return to the original site, and handle access denied or a missing hypervision chip. canonical: https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-hypervision-switch/ language: en product: Boss’nX audience: - utilisateur - administrateur - installateur context: "Boss’nX web: hypervision and return chips in the header, from a supervision or the hypervision" --- # Switch from a supervision to a Boss’nX hypervision and back Context: Boss’nX web: hypervision and return chips in the header, from a supervision or the hypervision In Boss’nX, the hypervision brings several supervisions together in an aggregated dashboard. From a supervision, the hypervision chip in the header, a buildings icon to the right of the site name, opens the hypervision your account can access; another chip then takes you back to the original supervision. This path is for a user, administrator or installer already signed in to a supervision, when the header offers a hypervision. To sign in directly to a hypervision, use [the access guide](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-access/). ## Open the hypervision from the supervision 1. Save your current work before changing context. 2. In the header, to the right of the site name, find the hypervision chip: a buildings icon followed by an arrow. 3. If the arrow points to the top right, a single hypervision is offered: click the chip. On a computer, its tooltip **Open the … hypervision** shows the name of the destination. 4. If the arrow points down, several hypervisions are offered: open the chip, whose tooltip is **Open hypervision**, then choose the name you want in the **Open hypervision** list. Each choice also shows a number of supervisions. 5. Wait for the opening to finish: the hypervision dashboard appears. ## Return to the original supervision After the switch, the hypervision header may offer a chip with a **left arrow and the name of the original supervision**. Its tooltip is **Back to supervision…**. 1. Save your current work in the hypervision. 2. Click this chip. 3. Wait for the supervision to reopen. You may be asked to sign in again if its session is no longer available. This return is offered for the supervision from which the switch was made. It is not always present after signing in directly to the hypervision. ## Return to the dashboard from a supervision opened in the hypervision In a supervision opened inside the hypervision, the hypervision chip, to the right of the site name, takes you back to that hypervision’s dashboard; its tooltip is **Back to hypervision…**. The page bar and the **Menu** remain those of the current supervision, depending on your permissions. To tell the two levels apart, use [the navigation landmarks](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-navigation/). ## Check the result - Check that the expected hypervision dashboard appears. Its name is visible in the header when the width allows. - Effective permissions may differ between contexts: a switch does not grant additional permissions by itself. ## Continue in the hypervision - To choose another supervision from the dashboard, follow [navigation through the map](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-hypervision-map/). - To view or control the components shown in the aggregated dashboard, use [the hypervision favorites](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-hypervision-favorites/). - To browse the supervisions’ incidents, follow [the alarm summary and history](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-hypervision-alarms/). - For consumption, see [the energy charts](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-hypervision-energy/). Authorized accounts can [associate Chart’nX dashboards](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-hypervision-energy-config/) and [organize the widgets](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-hypervision-layout/). - The [frequently asked questions about the dashboard](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-hypervision-help/) cover the main landmarks and difficulties. ## Troubleshooting | Situation or message | Check and next step | | --- | --- | | No hypervision chip to the right of the site name | No destination is offered in this context at this time. You cannot conclude from this that there is no hypervision or that there is a license problem. Have your administrator check the expected hypervision and your account’s access. | | **Hypervision access denied — your permissions may have changed.** | Check with your administrator that the account should still access this hypervision. The list offered may refresh after this refusal. | | **Could not open the hypervision. Please try again.** | Check your connection, then try again once on the destination you want. | | The button shows a waiting indicator | Wait for the result before selecting another destination. | | The chip to return to the supervision is missing | Reopen the link provided for your building. Do not choose a destination at random. | If the expected access remains impossible, if the message comes back or if the wait persists, contact support@can-nx.com, specifying the context and the message or symptom. French labels: tooltips **Ouvrir l'hypervision…**, **Accéder à l'hypervision**, **Revenir à l'hypervision…** and **Revenir à la supervision…**.
