--- title: Move and resize the Boss’nX hypervision widgets description: Switch to edit mode to move and resize the blocks of the Boss’nX hypervision dashboard, then save the layout with Finish editing and check the result. canonical: https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-hypervision-layout/ language: en product: Boss’nX audience: - administrateur - installateur context: "Boss’nX: hypervision dashboard in Edit layout mode; dashboard edit right required" --- # Move and resize the Boss’nX hypervision widgets Context: Boss’nX: hypervision dashboard in Edit layout mode; dashboard edit right required In edit mode, you move and resize the blocks of the Boss’nX hypervision dashboard (map, energy, favorites, alarms), then save the resulting layout. Intended for the administrator or installer whose account can edit the hypervision dashboard. Preferably use a wide screen to locate the handles and check the result. ## Enter dashboard editing 1. Open the expected hypervision, then **Hypervision dashboard**, as described in [the navigation guide](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-hypervision-switch/). 2. Wait for loading to finish. 3. In the header, click **Edit layout**. The button becomes **Finish editing**. On a narrow screen, it may show only its pencil or save icon; its accessibility label remains **Edit layout** or **Finish editing**. 4. Find the six-dot handle at the top right of each block and the resize corner at the bottom right. ## Move a block The **Supervision map**, **Energy consumption**, **Aggregated favorites** and **Technical alarms** blocks all move the same way: 1. Hold the mouse button down on the six-dot handle, whose tooltip is **Move widget**. 2. Drag the block to the position you want, then release. 3. Check the whole dashboard: neighboring blocks may be repositioned. ## Resize a block 1. Drag the green bottom-right corner of the block, then release. The minimum size limits shrinking. 2. Check that its content remains readable; scroll inside the block if needed. You can repeat these actions to adjust the position or size before saving. The dashboard adapts to the screen width, and positions may differ between computer and mobile: check its presentation at each width you use. The grid or horizontal scrolling of the cards inside **Aggregated favorites** is chosen separately, as described in [the favorites guide](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-hypervision-favorites/). ## Save the layout 1. Review the layout and, if you changed them, [the energy associations](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-hypervision-energy-config/). 2. Scroll back up to the header. As long as changes remain to be saved, **Unsaved changes** is shown below the button. 3. Click **Finish editing**, then wait for **Saving...** to finish. Finish this save before changing page. For energy, **Save** in the configuration window prepares the choices; **Finish editing** saves the dashboard that contains them. ## Check the result 1. After a successful save, the editing handles disappear and **Edit layout** is available again. 2. Reopen the dashboard and check the expected positions, sizes and associations before continuing your work. ## Troubleshooting | Situation | Action | | --- | --- | | **Edit layout** missing | Have the administrator check the right to edit the dashboard. | | Button temporarily unavailable | Wait for loading or saving to finish. | | The layout is not kept | Check the hypervision context and the state actually shown. | | The dashboard returns to editing after a failure | Check the values shown: the attempted changes are not necessarily kept. Redo the adjustments you want, check your connection, then click **Finish editing** once. | If the difficulty persists, if the failure repeats, if a message remains present or if the expected settings are not found after reopening, contact support@can-nx.com. Indicate the hypervision, the blocks concerned, the approximate screen size, the message, the changes attempted and what appears after reopening. French labels: **Modifier la disposition**, **Fin édition**, **Déplacer le widget**, **Enregistrement...**, **Modifications non enregistrées**.
