--- title: "Boss’nX dashboard schema: zoom, pan and switch layers" description: Zoom from 20 to 300%, move the view with the mouse and switch layers on a floor plan or schema shown on the dashboard of a Boss’nX supervision. canonical: https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-dashboard-schema/ language: en product: Boss’nX audience: - utilisateur - administrateur - installateur context: "Boss’nX, supervision dashboard: schema block in viewing mode, controls on a computer" --- # Boss’nX dashboard schema: zoom, pan and switch layers Context: Boss’nX, supervision dashboard: schema block in viewing mode, controls on a computer A schema block on the Boss’nX **Dashboard** shows a floor plan or a drawing of the site: zones, components or indications configured for the site. Its controls let you zoom, move the view and switch layers while viewing, without changing the dashboard configuration. For the users, administrators and installers of a supervision, opened directly or from a hypervision. The available actions depend on the account and on the schema’s elements. To associate a schema with the block, follow [the schema block configuration](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-dashboard-schema-config/); for the list of the supervision’s drawings, open [the Schemas page](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-schemas-consult/). ## Zoom and reframe the schema 1. Choose the expected supervision, then **Dashboard**, following [the navigation](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-navigation/). 2. Find the block containing the schema and wait for **Loading schema…** to finish. 3. On a computer, use the controls at the bottom left of the block. | Control | Effect | | --- | --- | | Magnifier with a minus sign, **Zoom out** | Reduces the zoom by ten points, down to 20%. | | Percentage, **Reset zoom** | Brings the zoom back to 100%, without reframing the schema. | | Magnifier with a plus sign, **Zoom in** | Increases the zoom by ten points, up to 300%. | | Four-corner icon, **Fit to view** | Recenters the schema and adapts its zoom to the available space, within the zoom limits. | The schema is reframed when it opens. The zoom chosen while viewing does not change the dashboard configuration. If a very wide plan remains partly visible at the 20% minimum, move the view or use a screen offering more space. ## Move the view on a computer | Gesture on the schema | Effect | | --- | --- | | Left button held down on an empty area of the background, then drag and release | Moves the view | | Mouse wheel | Moves the view vertically | | **Shift** and mouse wheel | Moves the view horizontally | | **Ctrl** and mouse wheel | Changes the zoom | To drag, choose the background of the drawing, away from the plan’s components and buttons. To get the overall framing back, click **Fit to view**. These gestures only move the view being consulted. To change the position or size of the whole block in the dashboard, use [dashboard organization](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-dashboard-layout/). ## Switch layers 1. At the bottom right of the block, read the name of the current layer. 2. Click the stacked-sheets button, whose tooltip is **Layers**. 3. Choose the name of the layer you want in the list. The menu closes and the block shows that layer. 4. Reopen **Layers** to switch to another layer. The button is disabled when only one layer is offered. Layer names are those configured for the site. This choice applies to the current viewing. The layer displayed at startup is chosen in the **Layer** field of [the schema settings in the dashboard](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-dashboard-schema-config/): the **Layers** menu and this field have distinct uses. ## Use the schema elements Texts, colors and symbols depend on the configuration. A button or card can offer a command on a component: click only the action that matches your goal and your authorizations. You can view the plan without operating these commands. A navigation link configured in the drawing can display another layer or open another schema in the same supervision. Its appearance and label depend on the site. Clicking the block background does not open a full page. To read a component’s datapoints or understand its commands, see [the component guide](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-component/). If an indication or action of the schema cannot be identified, contact support with the context and the visible label before changing the configuration. ## Troubleshooting - On a narrow screen, the bottom controls may lack space. Use a wider screen if the layer name covers the zoom buttons. - **No schema configured. Enable edit mode to select one.**: the block must be associated with a schema. An authorized account can follow [the block configuration](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-dashboard-schema-config/). - **Unable to load schema.**: check the supervision and reopen the dashboard once. - An expected schema is missing: check the block and the context with the administrator, especially the widgets authorized for the role. For other questions, see [the frequently asked questions about dashboard schemas](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-dashboard-schema-help/). ## Contact support If **Unable to load schema.** persists, if this check has already been made or if the schema still cannot be found, write to support@can-nx.com. Give the supervision, the schema or layer you are looking for, the displayed message, the approximate screen size and the attempts already made. A screenshot without sensitive data can help. Activez le mode édition pour en sélectionner un.** Schema and layer names may remain in their original language.
