The complete procedures are in [the favorites guide](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-dashboard-favorites/) and [the technical alarms summary](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-dashboard-alarms/). ## Why does my favorite card show only two datapoints? The favorite card shows at most two visible datapoints. Click the component name to open its detail and read its other datapoints there. If the datapoint is also missing in this page, check the component and the account rights with the administrator. ## Where is the star to add a component to favorites? Adding is done with the **Favorite** checkbox in the component form. Open the component from **Components**, then click the **Edit component** icon to the right of its title. In the form, check **Favorite**, next to **Gateway**, and click **Save**. Return to **Dashboard** to check its card. This change requires the component management right; follow [the complete procedure](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-dashboard-favorites/). ## Why can I edit the dashboard but not add a favorite? The two actions fall under different rights. The **Favorite** choice is changed in the component form and requires the component management right; changing the dashboard layout falls under another right. Have your administrator check the component management right. ## Does removing a favorite delete the component? No. Uncheck **Favorite**, then save: only its card leaves this block. The component remains viewable in the supervision according to the account’s rights. To put it back, check **Favorite** again in its form and save. ## What if the card is missing although Favorite is saved? If you have already saved **Favorite**, checked the same component and reopened the right dashboard, avoid repeating the changes: the missing card alone does not tell you what was kept. Note the checkbox state after reopening and the result in the dashboard, then contact support. ## Why does the order of my favorite cards revert? Check the supervision concerned and reopen the dashboard once. If this has already been done or if the expected order is still not found, contact support with the desired order, the observed order and the steps attempted, without making repeated configuration changes for this observation alone. To move the whole Favorites block, follow [dashboard organization](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-dashboard-layout/). ## Why does the alarm total exceed the list? The summary shows at most ten active alarms that are not in standby, while the total counts all of them. To see the others, click in **Technical alarms**, outside edit mode, then use the tabs, the search and the filters of **Alarm History**, following [the viewing guide](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-alarms-consult/). ## Why does an acknowledged alarm remain in Technical alarms? An acknowledged alarm can remain active. The summary shows active alarms that are not in standby, whether acknowledged or not. Check its state in the history and [the explanations on acknowledgment](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-alarms-acknowledge/). ## How do I read a truncated alarm message on mobile? Outside edit mode, tap the **Technical alarms** block to open **Alarm History**, then search for the component or the message. This tap lets you view the alarms without acknowledging them. See [the summary and its access to the history](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-dashboard-alarms/). ## Zero alarms on the dashboard: is everything working? The counter only covers the active alarms not in standby that are visible in this context: it is not enough to establish the physical state of the whole installation. Wait for loading to finish and check the supervision and your account’s scope. If an expected alert is missing, also check the history tabs. ## Why does clicking Technical alarms do nothing in edit mode? In edit mode, the block is used for the dashboard settings. If changes are pending, finish saving or restoring them following [the dashboard guide](https://wiki.can-nx.com/en/guides/boss-dashboard-layout/), then click the block outside edit mode. If clicking still has no effect, have your alarm viewing rights checked. ## Contact support If an answer above does not solve the problem after the checks it describes, write to support@can-nx.com. Give the supervision, the component or alarm concerned, the observation (state of the **Favorite** checkbox after reopening, desired and observed order, displayed counter) and the steps already tried.
